You looked over your shoulder and saw only darkness and underbrush; however, you didn't that let you slow you down the least bit.
The fence clearly looked unstable, but you figured it'd be idiotic to waste time for an alternative option that may or may not even exist.
Starting the ascent upwards you made it several yards up the fence, that is -
-until you fell.
A white blinding pain seared across your entire left side of your body. All you wanted to do was get up and place yourself even farther away from the enemy at hand - whom you didn't even know what or who was following you - but, you couldn't physically move.
You closed your eyes and just hoped it would be quick when it got to you.
It wasn't. It wasn't at all.

Approximately 3:33 A.M
Body too mangled and torn to find an identifiable cause-of-death at scene.
