You sat on one side of a cold aluminum table while two officers with legal pads and manila folders sat on the other.
Even though you had finally gotten some rest, you were escorted downtown to finally tell your side of the story. As if living through the horror wasn't enough, you were expected to recount in excruciating detail what happened.
The slimier of the two officers spoke up. "Okay Miss *last name*, can you tell us what happened?"
"I killed my dad."
