The wolf is a fine creature of the night. It has beautiful fur and crystal blue eyes. You admire it as an animal – as a creature of this hurtful world. You don’t wish you harm it. Instead you share a distant glance. The wolf approaches you as you stand your ground. It rubs against your leg and moves on off into the trees. Shrouded in shadow it turns to you and howls out into the night. Then it disappears completely.
