You decide you need to talk – perhaps this shapeshifter will have the answers you seek. ‘Who are you,’ you ask as it studies your mood. The shapeshifter takes the appearance of a handsome man dressed in white. He looks calm. ‘I am Nokoshay, caretaker of the forest,’ he says. ‘You have been brought her by a demon who has intruded in upon my wood. This vampire fights for fun and you are the pawn he intends to use.’ You listen to the shapeshifter tell his story – there’s something believable in how he speaks. ‘The demon cares little for you,’ the shapeshifter adds, ‘all he wants is cause the world pain. Help me kill him and I will let you leave.’
