In the end you reject his challenge. This is the vampire who stole your life. He sired you and he deserves to die. You don’t wait around. Instead you rush him with your fangs – catching him as he looks at the moon. He falls to the ground and hits his head against a rock. You watch as a dagger drops from his pocket. To your left is a sharp stake, leaning against a chestnut tree.
