The Vampire's Choice

You approach the body. You decide to search it – perhaps there is a clue to find. You press your hand against its neck. There’s no pulse but you notice two distinctive bite marks, trickling down with liquid blood. It’s unmistakable – the man was killed by a vampire. You move your hands down his body, checking his pockets.

Suddenly cold hands grip your face and rip away at your tender skin. You stagger back in pain. The dead man sits up and snarls at you with vampire fangs. Newly turned – his first instinct is to attack! He leaps upon you and delivers a barrage of heavy fists. You’re taken by surprise. You don’t stand a chance. He grabs a stick beside you both and sinks it down into your chest. You cry out into the night as your body turns to dust. -The End-
