You decide to sire the man. You’re only new to the vampire world but you feel a crazy friend could help. Instinct takes over – you bite him again against the neck, mixing your blood with his. You step back. Then you sit on a rock and wait.
After some time the old man begins to stir. First his legs twitch – then his arms. Finally he sits straight up, reminding you of your earlier rise. He scrambles to his feet, laughing out into the night. He knew immediately what he’d become – and he seems delighted! ‘For years I’ve been a hunter,’ he reveals, ‘but deep inside I’ve yearned for this.’ You return his smile. At last you don’t feel quite alone. ‘It’s nearly dawn,’ he adds, ‘but there’s something dark within these woods. There’s a werewolf hiding in the dark, kill it for me and I’ll help you out!’
