Lin's POV

Ugh it's so early why does there have to be rehearsal. I thought to myself as I walked to the theatre. Luckily Anthony, Oak, Daveed, Groff, Chris, and Leslie met me at starbucks so I won't be alone. Especially since I forgot my key at the apartment. Thank the gods they are here. You could tell none of us were ready for today. Especially when Daveed heard the time. When Groff asked for the time all you hear is a time and Daveed say, "God help us all." We all laugh and continue walking. Agreed Daveed agreed.

As we made small talk with one another on our way into the theatre we hear a faint what was that a scream? that sounded like it came from the side of the theatre. It was sounded raspy and strained from never using the voice or something. It sounded like this person had never talked before and this sound was a reassurance that this voice will be very weak and faint when we see it. We all look at each other and we immediately run to direction of the so called scream. We rush to see a girl who looked to be about 12 or 13 on the ground with a pained look on her face and messed up clothes. She had a cut on her face and cuts all along her arms and bruises scattered across her legs and arms. I can only imagine what the rest of the pain across her body under the shirt. (DON'T MAKE THAT DIRTY YOU LITTLE NASTIES) All the bruises that must litter this small frail girl's body. I cringe at the thought but no one noticed. I rush to her side with the guys close behind. I know she wasn't there yesterday morning but what happened. I know we were all thinking the same thing as we come face to face with this girl. 

She gives us a puzzled look but it immediately turned to pain as she tried to move her leg and her breathing was irregular. She looks back at us but this time she had a look of fear in her eyes and all I could think was that we had to get her to hospital.

Anthony and I crouch down to her level on the ground and Anthony is the first to speak up and break the silence that had grown between us. "We are going to help you and take you to the hospital okay?" he asks her. He is calm as he reassured her we are helping her. He speaks as if he's done this before. She looked at us with tears in her eyes and I can tell she is panicked so I pick her up bridal style and she lets out a loud grunt in pain. "Sorry" I say as lift her all the way up. Then I finally realized that we walked here. So we don't have a car to take her to the hospital. We could call an ambulance but I think that she would be even more scared with the chaos that would be happening here. 

She tensed up in my arms as a tear runs down her face. Chris then breaks the silence that fell over us again and states "Without a car we could carry her to the hospital." Then Daveed is the next to speak, "The hospital is only a few blocks from here and there is hardly any people on the streets so we will get there in about 15 minutes on foot." Then I finally speak up  "Alright let's go." With that we start on our walk away from the theatre to the hospital. I guess the guys were thinking the same thing as me. 

As we walk I look back to the girl in my arms and realize she has fallen asleep but her breathing is still off and I know that we need to get to the hospital fast before anything else happens. I don't know what happened but I know this kid needed us and we needed to be the ones to help her no matter what. 

Anthony's POV

As the guys and I are walking into the theater we hear what may have been a  scream of pain is what is sounds like. We all look at each other before we run to see where it came from. All we see is a girl with messed up clothes and she had a pained look on her face. She had many other injuries but it was so much to take in. I could tell she wasn't breathing right as I could hear her faint, scared, and shaking breathing. We all look at each other then move but not to suddenly to reassure her it was okay.

Lin and I crouch down to her level and we all sit and stare in a weird silence not awkward but just an uncomfortable silence that no one really wants to be in you could call it. But the silence didn't last long as I broke it, "We are going to help you and take you to the hospital ok?" I make sure to be calm and reassure her nothing is going to happen to her and that she is safe. The last thing I want to do is scare this poor child anymore than she must already be.

Everyone else was being helpful and doing something to make sure she was okay but I was just standing there not knowing what to do. I was really scared for this little girl who couldn't have been more than 13 and she was all broken and looked like she was scared for her life. I was thinking so hard on how she ended up here like this and how long was she here before we got to her. 

I was pulled out of my thoughts by Lin saying, "Alright let's go." I don't exactly know what happened but I followed in silence as we made our way to the hospital and I look to see the little girl asleep in Lin's arms. She looked peaceful in Lin's arm but I'm not surprised she fell asleep it was too early to be up anyways.
