Arthur's POV
***

I woke up, I smiled, remembering what happened last night. I looked at Merlin, who was sleeping soundly. He looked so cute, it's a shame I'm going to have to wake him. I get up from my position, it went cold. I immediately missed being close to Merlin.

"Rise and shine!" I shout, making Merlin jump out of bed, looking confused as to where we were. He finally layed eyes on me and relaxed.

"You scared the living daylight out of me, you prat," he says, I laugh,

"Yeah, I noticed that," I smirked,

"What, noticed you were a prat, or?" He says, I punch him in the arm.

"I think sometimes you forget that I am the King of Camelot, Merlin," I grin, he rolls his eyes.

"Again, a royal prat, my lord," he says cheekily, I sigh as I give up.

"You took that phrase from when we first met, moron," I say, nudging him slightly as we eat. Merlin chuckled,

"Yeah, those were the days, I could've easily beaten you in that fight," he replied. I suddenly think back to all that time ago, the box, the rope... Hang on,

"You cheated!" I exclaimed, Merlin starts doubling over with laughter and I grumpily eat. I sighed, when he stopped laughing, he finally spoke,

"If I hadn't, you'd probably have killed me there and then," I looked up at Merlin. Was I ready to tell him? Was I ready to tell him, that I loved him the moment I first saw him? His gorgeous hair, the fact that he wasn't afraid to speak up to me, the fact that he-

"Arthur, are you ok?" He asks, concerned about my sudden silence. I nod,

"We need to get moving," I say, he nods in understanding.

***

"Arthur! Watch out!" I heard a shout and I look at what in meant to be watching out for, I look behind and see a bandit coming at me with a sword, I roll my eyes and get ready to fight when he's suddenly on the ground. I smile, looking up to Merlin, I mock salute him. He grins as he finishes off the last bandit by kicking him where the sun don't shine, and stabbing him. We walked up to each other,

"Well that was fun," I state, he laughs,

"Yes, saving your ass, it's one of my favorite hobbies," I swear I could sense some sarcasm, I stepped closer, challenging him,

"Was that sarcasm?" I ask, fully knowing it was. Merlin pretends to think,

"Hmm, would you like me to hold up a sarcasm sign?" He grinned, I was about to reply when I heard someone speak,

"Well this is lovely but I'm afraid you're going to have to come with us,"
