Orians's POV

"Orian, what just happened?"

Jewel suddenly glares at me.

"What you just saw. That's what happened."

What else can I say?

"I must have missed something then." Jewel massages her temples.

"You missed nothing. I came, your mom got angry, she left." I shrug.

I'm kind of surprised at how short tempered Mrs. Blossoms is.

"Yeah, I know all of that but what was up between you and mom? Like your conversation made no sense!"

"Well duh."

I let out a small laugh and Jewel just rolls her eyes.

"Orian you know something which I don't. So spill."

She bites her lower lip and puts her hands in her pockets.

"I'm just as confused as you are."

I smirk and slightly tilt my head. The situation seems funny to me.

Mrs. Blossoms head exploded just as she heard what my name was.

I really want to know why!

This just got interesting.

There is no point in asking Jewel for information....no wait, there is.
I'll get to know her side of the story.

"Heyo Jewel, can we go inside your apartment?"

"Yeah sure." Jewel kicks a stone and leads the way.

We get inside.

I sit on the sofa and Jewel asks me whether I would want to drink something or not. I tell her I don't.
She then sits next to me with her legs crossed on the sofa and her head resting in her hands.

"Jewel, I want to ask you a bit about your past. Will you answer me?"

I take of my coat and place it on my lap. It's not as cold inside as it is outside.

"I will but..."

But?

"You will need to answer some of my questions too."

I nod and she smiles.

The atmosphere is a bit serious yet comfortable at the same time. How?

"Jewel, you told me that you used to go to this psychiatrist right?"

She nods.

"Well, why exactly? I know your parents thought you were delusional but... it doesn't really make sense. I don't get why your parents did what they did." I wince at my own words. I don't want Jewel to feel discomfort again.
