Well. The walk home was excruciatingly painful. I walked for hours until I finally found a road that I recognized and made it home.

Taking long and slow steps to the front door, I unlocked it with my keys and opened it. Letting the cool air from inside breeze over me
"Ahhhh" I breathed in and out and walked in.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!"
Oh god..

I closed the door behind me and turned around, awaiting my death

"Do you know how many people I've called?! I had no idea where you've been!! I didn't know if someone took you, or killed you!" He yelled at me. I thought it best that I didn't say anything

"Well! Say something!!"

Never mind.

"I'm sorry. We were invited to a party so we went and I totally forgot to even ask you but Last night everything was totally fine but I guess this guy drugged me by putting it into my soda since I didn't exactly feel comfortable to drink any alcohol but he gave me my drink and he seemed nice so I just sat with him and he was really nice and he sat down with me and held my hand then I didn't feel so good and thats all I can remember but I guess he then gave me off to another guy in the party wh-"

"Hold on. Just stop. Breathe." He demanded, stopping my rant. Ryder walked closer to me and placed his hands gently on each side of my shoulder as they moved up and down from my exaggerated breathing exercises

I've never been okay since the incident. Ever since then I had never been good at keeping any secrets, and if I do, I panic and will get panic attacks. Ryder actually bought a bunch of books and took and entire month just learning how to help me out with everything. Even though I knew he needed help as well, he would never let me.

"It's okay. You are okay. In through your nose, out through the mouth remember?" He asked me, I nodded and did what he said which helped me calm down.
"Okay. Now, you said someone drugged you?" His face was stern and very focused as he looked around my body for god knows what

"Y-yeah... i b-blacked out.." I stuttered

Ruder looked down at me after he was done checking my arms and neck for any marks
"Show me your stomach." He said

Thankfully I had put on spandex under my dress yesterday. I used to play volleyball, so we were both used to seeing me in spandex.
I lifted my dress to show my stomach,

Ryder's face was filled with rage as his fists clenched. I saw his eye slightly twitch as he tightened his jaw

I looked down at my stomach to see red marks left from someone's hands.
It really did happen...

"What the fuck happened at that party." He gritted

"I-I'm Okay Ryder." I whispered, looking down

"Okay? You're not fucking okay! Someone hurt you Athena!" He shouted at me. It was an instinct to bow my head down. Just something I got used to I guess

"I-I'm s-sorry" tears started to run down my cheeks as it slowly turned into a sob

Ryder pulled me in for a hug and held me tightly
"No I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Just please don't scare me anymore" he huffed

"Okay" I mumbled in his shirt that I was burying my face in

"Well. I need to go online and excuse your absence from school." He said, pulling himself away from the hug

Oh shit. School
"Hey, don't worry about it." Ryder had clearly noticed the panic written across my face
"You'll make up the work tomorrow. Please just, go upstairs and get some rest, okay?"
