Chapter Five

A/N: Hey guys, how's everyone? Ok so I know it's bad but I'm getting kinda bored with this story. I'm working on another twilight fan fiction that I'm thinking of publishing soon so my work on this will be quite slow. It would be extremely helpful if you all gave me suggestions and ideas. Bella and I were going to hang out with Jake today. Edward wasn't happy but then again neither were my mate's. I ignored all their protests about me going and sat in the back of Edwards car once again. I heard all his thoughts and they weren't good either, all about Jake taking Bella away from him. I rolled my eyes at his childish behaviour and watched the scenery go by out the window.

I saw Jake standing outside without a shirt on obviously. We got out and walked towards him, "does he own a shirt?" Edward asked making me laugh. I left them to talk lovey dovey like and went over to Jake.

"Hey." He grinned at me, I smiled back.

"Hey." I hugged him then we both watched Bella and Edward talk. I saw Jake look at them with disgust when they kissed and I wasn't really fond of watching it either.

Bella smiled and Edward left with a frown like usual. "Hey, what do you wanna do?" Jake asked my sister, "bike? hike? stay in? It's your call but we're going to a party tonight." He told her with a shrug, his hands shoved into his jean pockets.

"Ok, sounds good. Can we just watch a movie or something?" Bella asked.

"Yeah sure. Like I said, your call." We went inside his house and put on a movie until the party which I knew wasn't really a party. Billy was going to talk about the histories of the tribe. Sam had already told me all about them so I wasn't really that excited to be there. I wanted to go to see everyone though, Sam said Seth Clearwater was going to be there and I wanted to meet the new member. Hopefully him and Nathan can be friends cause he really needs one, he needs to stop being so antisocial.

As night rolled around everyone was setting things up. Bella and Jake went off to do something while I stayed back and helped. As everyone showed up I sat by the fire even if I couldn't get cold.

Embry and Jared sat on both sides of me, "hey Violet." Jared grinned at me.

"Hi guys." I said rolling my eyes but I couldn't help but smile. I looked around and saw Paul over by the table with food stuffing his face. A shorter boy stood next to him trying to push him away, he was also protecting a plate of burgers for someone. I smiled knowing it was Seth Clearwater, his sister stood on the other side of the fire looking into it with glare. I wonder why she was always so sour, I know Sam broke it off with her but that can't be the only thing that made her so upset.

Sam and Emily cuddled together on the other log, smiling and talking with each other. Billy, Quill's grandpa and Sue Clearwater stood together having a good laugh about something. It was very welcoming and nice here, this was a real family and I was lucky enough to be apart of it. They accepted me even if they didn't accept the Cullens but I knew they were just trying to protect their territory.

As Billy told everyone the histories of the tribe I looked around at everyone. They all were so into the story, looking at Billy as if he was their teacher. It was nice to see kids actually interested in what someone older said, usually they'd just brush them off but these kids were different and I respected that.

The night was cold as everyone huddled together. Sometimes I missed being able to feel things like heat and the cold. My body temperature was always cold so no one wanted to touch me to much. Good thing I have the power to heat myself up.

Billy finished the story and now they were all chatting comfortably. I smiled throughout the night. Seth told everyone about the time when he broke his arm while saving a puppy which was funny but Leah didn't think so.

When the night was over Jake drove Bella and I home, she seemed like she had fun as she smiled all the way home. I walked inside, ready to just relax for tonight.
