at the end of every book i write
i do tend to get a bit emotional,
but thats bound to happen when
you've created a character and
have come to love it like a child,
or something which your brain has
produced and made a story for.

i always try and put bits of myself into characters. alex (from my zach book oops) for example loves one direction and now bts. it makes it somewhat easier to write when you have a basis or ideas for how that character can act.

teddy, as you will have read, suffers from anxiety. she hates crowds, airplanes and stuff like that. writing this book with teddy
sharing those traits with me has allowed me to put some of my feelings into words.

she is possibly one of the more complex characters i have had the chance to write. in big plans, the sequel to oops, you're only just
beginning to see the development in alex, who has a heart of gold but has suffered many
tragedies.

in some ways alex and teddy are similar. teddy has lost her mom and alex has lost family members as well. alex used to struggle with depression, self harm and anxiety. since meeting zach, she
felt loved and could try and forget her past.

daniel helped teddy come out of her shell. it might not be apparent in the writing, but he helped her feel more confident, not just
in herself but her actions.

i'm writing this on the day which my first ever book which i completed might hit 1 million reads. which is crazy. this book is the second book i've ever
finished, even though there has been doubts in
the past that i would manage to finish it.

i ended to story where it was because i have no idea where i could go with it. but if you noticed, i left it somewhat unfinished.

i hate leaving things unfinished, so i don't think this will be the last you hear of teddy and
daniel.

thank you for everything, jess <3
