Donut was hard at work planning for a month and a half. Finally he was ready to host Kai's bachelorette party. Kai, Carolina, and Donut took a limousine up to a fancy house that had water fixtures everywhere and modern interiors that looked like they were pulled out of a magazine.
Again the girls turned to Donut shocked.
"What can I say? I get by." He said and went to the kitchen.
"What do y'all want to drink?" Donut yelled from the kitchen.
"I'll take a margarita!" Replied Carolina. Kai looked at her
"What?"
"Hey it's a celebration! Why would I waste this time drinking beer?"
Donut shoves a margarita on the island and Carolina takes a seat.
Donut asks again,
"Kai, What do you want to drink?"
"Oh, um.. a water is fine."
Donut raised his eyebrows and Carolina choked on her drink.
"A.... water....?"
Kai nodded.
"Yeah, that's what I said isn't it?"
Donut shrugged and handed her a bottle of figi water.
"Donut seriously how rich are you and Doc?!" Carolina asked.
"Like I said, we get by."
Donut and Carolina started drinking and they sat in the jacuzzi and talked.
"Man, if I was straight, you would probably be my main hoe!"
Donut said and Carolina replied,
"Hey! I'm just saying!"
Kai for once felt completely out of place.
"Kai, you've been silent," Donut says, "missing your man?"
Carolina laughed,
"Lay off man. I bet it's just that time of the month and she is ready to kill us both."
They both waited for a answer. Kai just coughed and said,
"Well, my period is actually quite late."
Carolina coughed, "is it Tucker's!"
Kai, terrified, asks, "how did you even know just from that?!" Then she yelled, "AND WHAT ARE YOU IMPLYING?!"
Carolina puts her hands up, "Hey, no hostility. I happen to have a good nose for people who would make bad teammates because they are trying to conceal themselves."
Kai nods, "okay."
Donut joins in, "how long have you known for?" Kai thinks
"Ssh,eight days." They both looked at her.
She shrugs, "that's when the appointment was."
"And?" Carolina says
"It's a girl!"
They both cheered for her.
"Man, I knew something was wrong when you asked for a water."
"Okay here's the thing though guys."
They both got quiet and closer to Kai.
"This is my first time actually keeping a child."
They both shrugged, "so?"
"So, I have been pregnant before. I just usually deal with it."
Carolina patted her back,
"Man, I wish my mom aborted me. Those children must be lucky. They get to miss out on this shit show we call life."
Kai smiled. Then Donut spoke,
"You know it might just be saying something," Kai looked at him, confused "Tucker's child is the one you decided to keep is all I'm saying."
Kai nodded, "I love him. He was there for me whenever I needed him, and I can't think of one bad thing he has done to me."
Donut laughed, "things not very hot in the bedroom then?" He teased.
Kai laughed, "no, that's the only place he gets creative. We were being so careful as well." She rubbed her stomach, "now I wonder just how much more careful we should have been."
Donut and Carolina hugged Kai.
"What's this one for?"
"You're going to be an amazing mom. And hey, maybe you and Tucker will have multiple.." Carolina suggestively elbows Kai.
"Stop, I just don't want to be a mom yet. Me and Tucker are doing just fine without a tiny army that we created testing our patience."
Donut swivelled his drink.
"You know. Simmons and Grif are looking to adopt."
Kai laughed, "My brother would have told me if they were."
Donut shrugged, "word around camp is Simmons wants to surprise Grif. During one of Grif's drunken nights he mentioned how he wishes he had a second chance to raise you."
Kai nodded, "he still blames himself for how I turned out."
Donut shrugs, "whatever it is. You might want to give Simmons a call first if your serious about not wanting to raise the girl."
Kai thanked Donut and everyone continued into the night.
