Chapter 22

Gauri~

My baby turned One today. I felt happy, Rudra made all arrangements for Ved's birthday party at the resort. Unfortunately my mom and dad are in Switzerland on their vacation and couldn't make it for Ved's birthday. They are disappointed for not attending their favourite Grandkid's birthday.

The party will be starting in an hour and I got Ved and myself ready. I made him wear a cute black tuxedo with red bow tie that matched my red party gown. He looked cute and dashing in his outfit and thanks to Rudra for setting his hair into a neat upward spike.

"Gauri, are you ready to leave? " Anika asked coming into my room. Anika and Shivaay has been helping me with the invitations and arrangements.

"Yes, Anika. Let's go." I said taking Ved in my arms.

"Okay, I will ask Shivaay to start the car." Anika said walking towards her husband.

Later we four reached the Venue as Rudra already left earlier to look after the arrangements.

"Give him to me, Gauri. I will carry him." Shivaay offered help.

"Thanks Shivaay bhaiyya." I told giving Ved to him while Anika and I followed behind.

"Finally you all arrived." Rudra said coming with Bhavya.

"Yes, did all the guests arrived? " I asked.

"Yes, they are all waiting to meet the birthday boy." Rudra said, "Especially Jaanu aunty and Uncle cool."

"Finally, today I will get to meet your Jaanu aunty and Uncle cool." I said laughing. "Where are they? "

"Umm... They were here till now." Rudra said looking around to spot them, "There they are." Rudra said pointing towards a middle aged couple in the crowd.

They looked somewhat familiar, I had seen them somewhere? I was trying to remember and the memory made me freeze.

They are Omkara's parents! I saw their picture in his penthouse on that fateful day I left him.

"Gauri, what happened?" Anika asked shaking me. I kept on looking them.

My worst nightmare was coming true. I can't let them know about Ved, I cannot loose my son.

"Gauri di, what happened? " Rudra asked tapping my shoulder.

"You duffer, you did what I was fearing all these days." I shouted on Rudra.

"What did I do? " Rudra asked confused.

"Gauri, what happened? We are not understanding anything? " Anika asked.

"The Jaanu aunty and Uncle cool, Rudra was talking about is none other that Omkara's parents." I said and Anika gasped.

"Yes, I know that. In fact I even invited him. He must he here somewhere." Rudra said casually dropping a bomb on my head and looking around to spot Omkara.

"You what!? " I almost shouted with my eyes wide.

"Why are you behaving strange? " Rudra asked confused.

"You idiot." Anika said smacking Rudra, "You made her worst fear come true. You invited the person form who Gauri was trying to hide Ved from."

"Why would you hide Ved from the Oberoi's? " Rudra asked scratching his head.

"Because, Omkara Singh Oberoi is the Father of my Baby." I said and Rudra looked at me shocked.

Slowly his shock turned into Anger.
