Running

He ran. He ran until his knee's ached. He ran until his head was starting to clear. He ran until he couldn't breathe anymore. Finding a shady tree, he stopped for a break. He fell to the ground, struggling to catch his breathe. He groaned in annoyance as his phone started to ring. He lazily pulled it out and looked at it.

Kaachan? He questioned. He almost slid the green button to answer, but instead he slid the red one. He was going to set his phone down as it rang again. It was Kaachan again. Midooriya clearly wasn't in the mood, so he ignored his call again. He set his phone down on the grass and laid back, looking up at the beautiful clear blue sky. Friends? He questioned. He was really starting to think about what Todoroki had said. Could he really be friends with Bakugo? He groaned loudly, causing a few strange looks, as he heard his phone ring once more. He picked it up to see his mom calling.

"Hey mom."

"Izuku, where are you?"

"I went for a run." He replied.

"Come back. We are making dinner." She said in a sad tone.

"I don't think you realize how far I ran. Just make dinner and get some sleep. You guys have to be tired. I will be back later. I promise."

"Just..please be safe Izuku." She says quietly.

"I will." He smiled into the phone before ending the call. He set his phone back down before running through his mind once more. Bakugo just wouldn't leave his head. But neither would Todoroki. What did I get myself into? He groaned to himself. He sat up and looked at the world around him. So many people were out walking their dogs and what not. It must be nice to live here, not worrying about much. He knew that he was over reacting. He had a great life. He had a great mom, great friends, and a great quirk. He was training to be the number one hero! He even had All Might on his side. There was nothing to worry about. Sure he was confused about Todoroki right now; well, more frustrated than confused. He just didn't understand why the hell his heart was giving him such a hard time with this one. He was great for him. Why was his heart holding him back so much? Was it because he was a guy? It couldn't be. Midoriya has never really been interested in girls. He tried to be, but it never worked for him. He was only ever interested in guys. He sighed in frustration while putting his hand over his heart.

What do you want? He asked himself. He laid there in the grass until the sun was fully set. Sighing heavily, he pulled himself off the ground and began walking back towards the cabin. He pulled his phone out of his pocket. 10:47. He has really been gone for quite a while. He was sliding his phone back in his pocket when he felt it vibrate. He pulled it out, unlocking it.

Todoroki- What resort are you at? The class has been jealous that you guys went to a resort so we were thinking about going to the beach this weekend.

Midoriya- Wouldn't you love to know? Don't go out of your way to see me. Plus it is quite far.

Todoroki- I promise you're worth the drive.

Midoriya only blushed to himself with a wide smile.

Midoriya- When you guys heading out?

Todoroki- Thursday morning.

Midoriya- Well.. then maybe I'll see you Thursday night.

Todoroki- Considering you nor Bakugo will tell us where you guys are, I doubt it.

Kaachan won't tell them either? That's strange. I figured he would love the chance to be anywhere but with me.

Midoriya- Well.. if you are lucky enough to be at the same one, maybe we can go on a date.

Todoroki read the message. After a few moments of not getting a reply, he sighed and slid his phone back in his pocket. He set off in a sprint back towards the cottage. Nothing but Todoroki on his mind for the hour run.

He arrived back at the cottage and quietly slipped himself inside. All the lights were off, so he assumed that everybody was already in bed. He walked quietly over to the kitchen to grab some water. He noticed the time on the wall and sighed. Almost midnight. He chugged his water and went to put his glass in the sink. He saw a plate on the counter with a note on top. He picked up the note and began reading.

We are going to bed. Here is your dinner, just reheat it a little bit. I will see you at 8 in the morning for breakfast! I love you!
-Mom

Midoriya smiled as he started to reheat his food. He pulled out his phone, feeling anxious. His heart skipped a beat as he saw his name.

Todoroki- Does that mean you have given us more thought?

Midoriya- Yeah.. I am still not completely sure.. but I do think spending more time with you would help.

Midoriya blushed to himself, kind of embarrased about the conversation. He grabbed his food, scarfing it down as quickly as he could.

Todoroki- It is going to be really hard to be on a date with you without wanting to kiss you, or hold your hand.

Midoriya- Who said you couldn't?

Midoriya had no clue what came over him. He would usually never say anything like that! He put his plate in the sink and walked towards the back patio. He slid the door open and stepped into the breezy night. The stars were shining and moon were shining brightly on the bright blue water. The only noises that could be heard were the sounds of insects. It felt so peaceful. He closed his eyes, letting the breeze blow through his hair. His phone vibrates in his pocket for what felt like the hundredth time that day.

Todoroki- If we don't end up at the same place as you, I am going to be really disappointed now.

Midoriya- How far away is the place you are looking into?

Todoroki- 8 hours.

Midoriya sighed.. it wasn't the same one. He oddly wanted Todoroki to be here with him.

Midoriya- A little further

Midoriya smiled as he looked around the patio. He smiled when his eyes landed on a hammock. How had he not seen it before? He lazily walks over and slumps into the white Hammock, staring at the stars above him.

Todoroki- 9 hours?

Midoriya- getting closer. You're on fire.

Todoroki- 11 hours?

Midoriya- too far.

Todoroki- 10 hours?

Bingo. Midoriya thought. He wasn't going to bluntly come out and say it was the right spot though.

Midoriya- Hopefully I will see you on Thursday. Goodnight, Todoroki.

Todoroki- Goodnight, Midoriya.

Midoriya closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the small waves crashing. He soon fell asleep on the patio, under the stars.
