Lily was putting in her earrings, I was finishing up Marlene's hair. Our costume looked so good. I love Lily's I thought it was such a good replica of what Mcgnagall would were if she was a teen age girl now-a days

Marlene had been doing a lot of sewing over the summer and made her dress it was beautiful she said Foster Genius (random character) was going as a Knight

My costume was pretty simple Marlene helped me with the cape since I've got no clue how to sew

I know this costume isn't gonna help stop the Marauders from teasing Remus and I but c'est la vie. "You look perfect Lily" I say looking in the mirror at her "Thanks I hope Mcgnagall isn't offended" she smiles "You asked permission and she looked so happy when you asked if you could dress up like her. "How much longer. This chair is getting uncomfortable" Molly whines "You've been sitting on it for almost an hour I'm surprised you now just saying something" Lily says. Marlene's wig has long curly frizzy thick hair. It's hard to get the curls under control and to also do the tiny braiding "Just need to clip the braids back and your done". I placed the final Bobbie pins in and stood back. She stood up looking at her self in the mirror "Well" she twirls "Absolutely gorgeous" I smiled "I still can't believe you sewed that" Lily says grabbing her hand bag "This summer was boring. My brother and father weren't home a lot and it was just mom and I" she says. So much did I want to cry when she said that she got to spend her whole summer with her mum wel I spent mine crying about my own. I picked up my gloves and the basket and we headed out "So Lily you said you had a date who is it" I ask "Oh Amos Diggory asked me. He heard the i was going as Mcgnagall and he was going as Slughorn so I thought we would be a good duo for the costume contest" she explained "I think you definitely are. As well as you and Foster have you'd even his costume" I say "Yeah I have it's amazing." She smiles. Once we got the great hall the were in awe. The teachers decorated perfectly for Halloween. Professor Mcgnagall was at the door and she look so happy when she saw Lily "So Professor what do you think" she askedYou look wonderful Lily quite beautiful" she smiled "Marlene I believe your knight in somewhat shiny armour is by the punch" she tell her "Thanks bye guys" she waves and goes over to her knight "Diggory is over there two Lily" Mcgnagall adds "Oo thanks you" Lily left then there was just me I was about to step away when Mcgnagall "Anika your wolf is sitting at that table I've there" she pointed to the table where the Marauders were. Potter was a hunter ironic I thought him being a stag. Sirius was dressed in all black no clue what he was. Peter looked to be a scar crow and Remus had messed up hair and ripped clothes. You've got to be kidding me he was going as a werewolf "Oh no I'm not with Lupin or the Marauders" I say "Well you two look pretty good to be winner of the contest. Just go over here dear" she said shooing me away. James looked away from Lily and at me he waved me over. I sighed and went over "I love the costume Vixen. Is that the real question from today. You and Moony could match" James laughed "Shut it Potter. And what did I say about that Nick name" I say crossing my arms "Just sit down, Vixen" Sirius added. Since Marlene was with Foster and Lily was with Amos I just took the seat "What are you supposed to be Padfoot" I mocked the name "See it's fun. and a shadow" he smirked "Wow" I say sarcastically "So we've got a Shadow, a scarecrow, a hunter and a werewolf after the full moon" I say "Yeha pretty much what's Lily meant to be" James asked looking at her "Oh she's Professor Mcgnagall that why she's with Diggory he's meant to Slughorn" I say "So they're only together for the contest" he raise a brow "Yeah" I nod. "See you later" Hanes got up and went over "He does know it's a lost cause right" I ask "No it's not" Sorius says smiling "Yes it is. Girls are a waste of time" Peter says I look at him "Wormtail" Remus tel him warningly "I'm not wrong ever since you two got crushes and Sirius discovered he's such a ladies man you've all left. The Marauders aren't the same" Peter said upset and stormed off "Wow I never thought I'd see him yell at you guys" I say watching letter run off "Well talk to him later. I'm gonna go swoon Taylor Phosphor" (Seamus ' mum) "Good luck with that one" Remus said as Sirius left. Now it was just me and Remus "So I like the cons time" he points "Thanks. Let me guess those S were the clothes from last night" I ask he nods "I didn't much time to get a real costume with the moon fast approaching. And I didn't even think I'd feel up to coming" he explains then the Slytherin's came over "Back to Lupin I see and your wearing matching costumes how cute" Malfoy smirks Narssica's nose was bandaged "Go away" I snap "Or what" Malfoy mocks "She said go away. Listen and you won't end up like your girlfriend" Lupin pin ya to Narcissa. They walked away. My eye staid fixed to Sev. I missed him a lot. He was such a great friend. Remus took a seat next to me and held my hand under the table "Sorry about them" he told me "No worries Lupin. I've dealt with them since first year. They don't effect me anymore" I smile "You know you look really pretty in that dress" he smiled "Why thank you" I blushed. We sat there and talked for a bit till Lily came over I quickly let go of Remus's hand "So you two are together" she asked sitting down both Remus and I went bug eyed. "Like for the contest We just voted your names were on the ballets." Lily explains we both sigh in relief "no not really just a coincidence. So did you voted for Marlene and Foster their costume ares awesome " I say "No I voted for you two. Also can you tell your buddy to leave me the hell alone" Lily turns to Remus "Lily trust me you have no idea how many times I've told James it's a lost cause but he been hung up on you for years." He exclaims "Well how do I stop him" she asks "Agree for one date. Go to Hogsneed or something and act boring and uninteresting that should help in someway" Remus tells her "How do I know this isn't so come plan you have made with him" "Lily I've been listening to James swoon for you for the last 6 years. I'm getting tired of it" Remus explains "It's probably the best idea" I tell her "You know if I have to suffer through that so do you. You and Remus have to go on a date together" she says Remus gets quite offended "Oh so a date with me is to being awful" Remus says "Anika isn't the biggest fan of you" she adds "Fine well go on a date and watch over you two to make sure James doesn't do anything stupid" I say "Alright fine but this better work Lupin" she huffs standing up and going over to ask out James Potter "Go idea Lupin" I smile "So are you just agreeing so we go on a date" he asks I nod "It's the best idea to go undercover" I tell him. He both look over towards Lily and James she asking me. James' face lights up and hugs her she so what hugs back. He better not try and kiss her. Thankfully he doesn't "Please May all students take their seats. We will be announcing the winner of the costume contest" Professor Mcgnagall announced. James and Sirius come back over. Lily, Amos, Marlene and Foster take a seat somewhere else. "What got you so happy" I ask James "Lily Evan just asked me out. I knew she'd come around" he beamed "Congratulations Prongs" Sirius patted his back. "Yeah it's great but Umm just a heads up. Lily did ask Anika and I to supervise from a far just in case you do anything too out of line" Remus tells him his smiles fades "But the date idea was all Lily. She came over here after voting and told us she wanted to give you a shot. And you'd o sometimes take your crush a bit far" I explain "Oh ok that's fair. So you too have to go on a date of your own" James says giving Remus to sly eye "Yeah we do. But so what it's just a fake date" Remus adds. "Alright the prize for third place are one free day from classes, Second place is a free day to hogsmeeds still with a professor present but no other students. And first place gets both" Professor tells all of us "So in third place we have Remus Lupin and Anika Course as Red riding hood and werewolf" Mcgnagall claimed everyone clapped "How the hell" I say "Come on" Remus's smiled. We both went up on  stage "Congratulations you too" she smiles Remus and I stand behind her "In second place we have Amos Diggory as Professor Slughorn and Lily Evens as Moi Professor Mcgnagall" she announced happily. They came on stage standing by us "Congrats you guys" I say to them "Before we announce first there was a tie for this place so the runner up for first is Lucius Malfoy and Narssica Black and as muggle vampires and they get to chose between day away from classes or free day at hogsmeed" she chanted. The two of them walked gracefully up the to stage. To be fair they did have really good costumes but I bet that blood is real. "And our first place winners are Marlene McKinnon and Foster Genius" she cheered" we all clapped. They came up.
