*time jump to closer to Christmas*
We were all sitting in the gryffindor common room Lily and James were snuggled up together on the love seat Sirius and Peter were play wizard's chest Remus was sitting in the arm chair reading well I was on the arm of the chair messing with his hair. Then Marlene came in holding letter "since you guys weren't their for mails I got yours" she told us handing out letters. "What's you get Lily" I asked "Letter from my parents and then one from my sister" she sighed tossing one of the letter to the side "It's probably just a bully letter" she tells us James kisses her check confronting Remus opens his "Christmas for my parents" he says. Then I open mine. And what I read breaks my heart
"Dear my darling Anika
I hope your enjoying your time at Hogwarts. I heard about the little incident with you transforming. I'm so proud you knew what to do. I writing this to tell you that Coraline and I are happily engaged. We both realized life isn't getting any longer and we always had feeling for each other but mine for your mother were just a bit greater. I hope you understand. We can't wait to see you guys over Christmas break

"Vixen what's wrong" Sirius asked noticing the tears in my eyes. I got up and ran to the girl dorms slamming the door dropping the note on the way
Remus's Pov
"What's does it say" I ask as Sirius picks up the letter he hand sit to Lily in case it was a bit too personal for him to read. As she read it she started getting upset "Remus come on" she leads me to her dorms knocking on the door "Anika open up please. It's just me and Remus." Anika opens the door with red puffy eyes. I immediately pull her into a hug as she cries into my chest "What's wrong" I asked "my dads engaged to my moms best friend" she cried "Pardon" I ask confused "Lily can you give us a moment" Lily nod living. Anika was me over to one of the beds and explained everything to me. "That's why I was crying on the train" I wiped the tears of her face "I'm so sorry sweet heart". We sat there for a bit just holding each other. "How about you come home with me. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind" I asked "No no I should go home but thank you" she sniffled "Write me everyday" I say she nods "Of course". I kiss her forehead "wanna go back" I ask "No I want to stay here a bit longer" she sighed "alright I'm perfectly happy with that."
