OLIVIA WATCHED as Vaughn strummed his guitar, his eyes closed.

She was currently standing with Annie, who was clutching the straps of her backpack and looking at the greasy haired guy with a look of almost awe.

"See, that's G. That's the most important chord." Vaughn tells the two girls. "In my mind, it, it stands for God."

"Come again?" Olivia asks, wondering whether she'd heard that right.

"I didn't mean like a bible God, because I think god is everything."

"You're complicated." Annie almost giggles.

"Oh, brother." Olivia mutters under her breath.

"Annie. Annie, where are you going today?" Vaughn begins to sing.

"Spanish class." She answers, still smiling.

"Spanish."

"You know what," Olivia interrupts, "I've got to go help Troy with something."

She didn't but neither Vaughn nor Annie called her out on it, instead Vaughn went back to his awful singing.

Rolling her eyes, Olivia pulls her phone from her pocket and calls her cousin.

"Yo." He answers.

"Where are you?"

"Heading to the study room, where are you?"

"Outside, trying not to gag as Annie gushes over Vaughn's singing."

"I'll meet you outside the library in five." Troy says.
