Kai's Pov.
" You're going to drive home? Alone? " Steve stood as I put my helmet on.
" Of course yes! She's my baby now. " I said running my hand across the seat.
" Be careful alright. I'll follow you after in the car. " He said worried.
" Okay, Steve! Now go on or I'm leaving without you. " I got on to the bike annoyed,this is not how I want my first actual drive to be.
" Okay, okay I'm going! " He whined and ran to the car.
The engine roared as I turned it on. I glanced at Steve turning on the car, I got the chance and drove off as fast as I can. I heard Steve cursing behind me as I drove past him but I could care less.
The cold breeze brushed against my shoulders, the smell of dry leaves mixed with air. I took a turn into a familiar street. I drove past the bakery, the scent of freshly baked bread flickered in my nostrils, I would probably buy some before heading home. I slowed down, making a U' turn, I stopped at the bakery. Taking off my helmet I entered. The Inside smelled even better, couple of people enjoying they're time treating themselves and that's exactly what I'm going to do, treat my loved ones with freshly baked bread.
I walked up to the counter and was welcomed by a old gentleman.
" Good day! What can I get for you? " He asked with a warm smile.
" Good day, I would like to get some bread. " I said giving back the old man a smile.
" Oh~ lucky timing young man! I just got some fresh ones for ya! " Said the man cheerfully pulling out a tray of good looking breads from behind.
Did he just- address me as young man.. actually it's not bad,
" Great! I'll get three, I want one packed separately from the other two. "
I said reaching out to get my wallet out.
The man turned to the side and packed two breads in one brown paper bag then packed the other separately.
"Alright there you go! " He said handing the parcels.
I paid off and got out. I hopped on with the bread parcels hanging on my arm. I drove with excitement filled in me, her smile - voice played back in my mind..
I stopped the engine as I got there. The dental. The place I hated the most few days ago but now excited as a child to go in.
I dusted me clothes, brushing my hair back I went in. There she was standing at the front table talking with a lady. I stood as the door closed behind me. She turned to the entrance where I was standing. A smile crept to her face yet she looked some what confused.
"Kai?! What're you doing here? Today's not your appointment.. " she spoke putting a file on the table.
" Hey!- I.. brought you bread! "
Evelyn's Pov.
" Hey!- I.. brought you bread! " They said holding out a parcel of bread with a wide smile on.
They're so adorable, I couldn't help but smile. I walked up to them,
" Oh~ how sweet of you.. " I spoke in a soft voice.
" They seemed good and they're fresh so thought might bring some for you. " They said handing me the parcel which I gladly took.
" Thank you so much Kai!, And she looks beautiful. " I said glancing out the front window where which I assume is they're new bike was parked.
" Uh- I was wondering if you're free to go for a ride maybe. " They spoke rubbing the back of they're neck.
" I would love to, Kai.. but too busy today. " I said but I really wish I could go with them but I'm not going to say that.
" Oh- yeah.. I totally get it. " They said sounding quite upset.
" I'm sorry, but I'll join another day.. if your offer is still open. " I spoke in a soft voice leaning little forward.
Of course I should look up to them, sometimes I wonder what I've done wrong to be smaller than a eighteen year old in my thirties.
" Yes! I mean, sure.. I'd keep it available for you. " They said with a confident smile..
" Alright then! I must go, my patient is waiting in. " I said motioning behind me.
" Okay then! See you later.." they said stepping back.
" See ya! And drive safe! " I waved as they went out.
I watched as they hopped on the bike putting the helmet on and they look, fine..
Just a little too fine to be exact.
The next moment they drove off. I got in where Nicole stood at the front desk giving me a look.
" Yup. A eighteen year old patient bringing bread for they're thirty one year old dentist. Pretty normal.. " she spoke as I walked back to the desk.
" God! Shut up Nicole, they're just being nice." I said giving her a glare.
" Alright, if you say so. " She laughed out, which I couldn't help but do the same.
