Chapter 11: Normal Things With Him

Natanggap ako sa dalawa sa apat na universities kung saan ako nag-apply. Hindi ko sigurado kung ano ba talagang course ang kukunin ko o kung ano ba dapat ang gagawin ko sa buhay ko.

Parte ng buong linggo na ito ay ang walang katapusang pag-ooverthink sa lahat lalo sa future. Hindi lang ako mapakali sa pagpili ng kung ano-anong mga course na pwede o kung ano ba talaga ang plano ko. I'm super anxious thinking that this choice of mine would determine my whole life in the future.

But since I got accepted for passing another application, I still sent my grades and all requirements needed and waited to see if I really am accepted for next school year and for the scholarship.

When the final exams are over, all the sleepless nights and tiring days of reviewing are finally over. My body really needs a rest right now because my anxiety is really causing me too much pain which drains me so much.

Hindi pa natatapos doon ang labis na pag-aalala ko. Kasama din dito ay ang nalalapit na competition ng campus sa track and field, kaya mas doble training ang meron ngayon si Cael. It really worries me how he's always exhausted every single night he comes home. Lagi na siyang drained pa lalo kapag umuwi. All I can do is be there with him.

Malapit na rin matapos ang high school, which also mean na malapit na ang aming college life. Bukod sa paglipat ng university, hindi pa rin ako sigurado kung ito ba talaga ang gusto ko. Gusto ko ba talagang maglaw school sa future, o gusto ko lang dahil iyon ang gusto ng parents ko?

The day of the competition event, lahat kaming mga year 12 ay nanood sa field para dito. Matagal bago sumalang sa laro si Cael. May mga ibang school silang kalaban dito. I waved my hands so he can see me from the crowd. He smiles back waving too. Sandali lang kami nakapag-usap kagabi dahil maaga rin siyang nakatulog.

We were all cheering for him and all the other athletes of our school. This is my first time seeing him in a competition. They were all really fast, and I never thought that Cael is really good at this. He is a 3rd placer which made me and the whole school proud. I made him sure that I am so proud of him.

Nagkaroon naman kami ng dinner pagkatapos noon at ipinagluto kami ni Tito Mike ngayon. We both enjoy the dinner and that also happened during our graduation.

Si Mama ang pumunta para umakyat sa stage at that time. I did receive an honor and school awards which I think is enough to make her come with me on the stage. After the program, she also left and just gave me money so I can celebrate alone. Busy daw siya sa work niya, at hindi naman din ako nag-eexpect sa kaniya. I just thanked her before she left.

My friends and I took a lot of photos. Cael and I also took photos together. That night after dinner, nag-stay muna siya sa aking room apartment para manood kami ng mga MCU films.

"Hindi ko sure kung gusto ko ba talagang kumuha ng law," I said lying in my bed with Cael as we both stare at the ceiling. "I really hate being a student," I scoffed.

"May time pa naman ngayong summer para pag-isipan 'yan," kalmado niyang sinabi. "Ano bang gusto mo?" he asks. He places his head towards me so he can see me clearly.
