Chapter 16

SHRUTI'S POV

"Anurag!!"

Anurag was sitting on his bed, that girl was lying on his bed with her legs on Anurag's lap. She was wearing a mini skirt leaving her legs naked. I didn't like the picture I just saw.

"Shruti!!" Anurag smiled. He didn't pay heed to my face. He didn't notice that I wasn't happy seeing those two like this.

He came towards me and hugged me. I didn't want to hug him and I didn't. Maybe then he noticed. He broke the hug and looked at me worriedly.

"Hey are you okay?" He gently touched my face.

I gulped, "What were you doing?"

His facial expressions said he didn't know why I didn't answer his question.

"I... I was just. Oh wait let me introduce. Sani come here." He called that girl who was just looking at me this whole time with bitchy expression.

"Shruti meet my childhood friend Sani.. I mean Sanika. And Sani meet my future wife Shruti."

Sani wow. He has a nickname for her. Why not?

Sanika gave a fake smile to me and said "Hi Shruti nice to finally meet you."

"Same here. Anurag actually I talked with her. When I called you she picked up your phone. Didn't she tell you that I called?"

Sanika's face colour changed.

"What? No. Sani you didn't tell me?"

" Oh I'm so sorry Anurag. It just slipped my mind." She wrapped her hand around his arm.

I looked at his arm, then looked at him with a blank face. To be honest I don't know how should I react or respond. He gently removed Sanika's hand from his arm . He noticed my changed expression.

"Sanika you should have been careful. What if it was an emergency."

" I said sorry. Are you going to scold me for this girl? And suddenly you call me Sanika... Why?"

She knows how to create scene.

"Look it's not like that. I just said you to be careful. Nothing else." Anurag was still behaving so gentlemanly.

"Whatever. Did you tell her about us?" She gave him a flirty smile.

I narrowed my eye. Now what? Is he hiding something from me?

Anurag looked at me with confused expression.

"What is she talking about Anurag?" I was in no mood to take any lies.

" Oh so you didn't. No problem I will. Anurag and I dated in college. So if you want any tips let me know."

"Shruti.... we never.." I stopped him showing my hand.

"Sanika you dated him. You are his past. I'm going to marry him. I'm his future. I hope you know the difference. So before you think to create misunderstanding between Anurag and me, please think thrice."

She was angry I could tell. She burst out his room.

As soon as she left I turned to Anurag, he had guilty expression.

"Shruti I didn't mean to hide anything. It didn't occur to me... We never really..."

"Anurag you did hide though. We talked about our past. I told you about my past. Not that I had any. But still whatever I had I told you. Why didn't you tell me then?"

"Shruti I didn't do it purposely. We dated but for like 3-4 months. It was never serious. Nothing at all. So it just didn't occur to me. I'm really sorry Shruti."

"Look Anurag, from day one i have been telling you to be truthful to me. I hate lies. I hate people when they lie or hide things from me. I can't tolerate it."

"I know I know. Shruti but please try and understand. I would never want you to be mad at me. Please don't be angry." He cupped my face.

"Fine. What about now?" I know Sanika is trying to come between us.

"Now? What now?"

" Don't get me wrong, but I think Sanika is trying to come between us. Maybe she still likes you." I hugged him.

He chuckled at my confession, "How do you get such idea in your little brain?"

"Hey my brain isn't little Mr. and I said what I said from I what I saw."

"So are you feeling jealous?" He wrapped his hands around my body.

"Not at all. It's just that we are getting married. I don't want anyone to come between us." I said pouting.

"Don't pout Shru." He whispered.

Shru!! He called me by a nickname..

"Why not?"

"Because I would like to kiss you right now then. Would you like that?"

I was red like a tomato. How can this man make me blush this much? But I'm still a bit mad at him.

"No I wouldn't like that right now considering you hid your past relationship from me." His grip loosened.

"Shruti I........."

"I have to go. Sakshi vahini is waiting for me." I just left from his room.

Maybe I overreacted but I was just no able to get that girl from my mind.
