CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE : Every Move

Clarinette | Liana

Assurance is all he needs. I have known that since. Vyrre does not act if he doesn't have any assurance to hold onto. That is why he waited for 18 long years just to show me his affection.

He stays if he is wanted, not because he is needed.

I don't want him to think that I don't love him.

I don't want to be misinterpreted.

Valan is a friend of mine, and he offers his service whenever I need it.

"Are you okay?" I asked his Grace. "Baka hinahanap ka na nila sa labas."

"Let's stay like this for a little while," he responded. "I like feeling your heat."

I scoffed. "You said the exact same thing 20 minutes ago.

"Can you let Teirro handle that? I'm tired, wife. I need you..."

Planting small kisses as his hand starts to move below the blanket.

I forced myself out from his grasp and pulled the sheet to cover my body. "Tayo d'yan at mauna kang lumabas. Tell Tierro to accompany me in the kitchen, hindi pwedeng ikaw dahil alam na alam kung wala tayong magagawang pagkain."

"Why are you always worried about their food? The knights can cook on their own, and in case you forgot, wife. You are not a maid."

"Yes, I am not. But I am your wife..." "It is my duty to accommodate the guests. It would be inappropriate if I did not do anything and let them eat roasted food all the time.

Vyrre tilted his head to the side as he looked at me.

"You look dazzling with the ray of the moon hits, wife." "You are my moonlight, Clarinette. You are my light in the darkness, a warm comfort in the cold, and my strength against the world."

"If it can make you uncomfortable, then I will not stop saying that. I like it when you're uncomfortable, your cheeks become bright red."

"I don't think you meant to compliment me, your Grace."

He pinched the tip of my nose. "Except for blood, I love seeing other colors on your skin."

As he said that, his fingers trailed a part of my shoulder and lightly tapped it. My mind automatically realized what he meant and I pushed him away to find a mirror.

I saw amusement in his eyes as he hindered himself from laughing.
