A new beginning

MANY THINGS HAD HAPPENED during two years as monarchs of Narnia. The five kings and queens had forgotten all about their land and their families, but with one small sparkle that sometimes reminded them of their dear parents.

Susan threw balls inviting other kingdoms very frequently, in order to make Narnia look like an open kingdom and for chances of getting to know other important people and to establish peace and strong bonds with their own people. She was quite the popular queen, and received many marriage proposals with bachelors of many kingdoms. Of course, she didn't accept none of them, in fact, there was even a humor of a man who committed suicide because he was denied of Susan's love.

Peter was very serious with his job as the high king. He and Olivia spent thousands of nights awake, watching and planning for everything. His room was the highest on the tower, and his window had the best view. Peter was such a busy man, that he didn't even open his marriage proposal letters, he threw them all away. Peter wasn't present in all of Susan's balls, he only appeared twice a year. He trained more and more with the sword, but he was no match for Edmund. Peter became a specialist on battle analysis, and Narnia won all of the battles they entered (which wasn't much). The high king had built a peaceful and structured Narnia.

Lucy spent most of her time with the crowd in the throne room. She was the one assigned to talk and deal with the folk. They had come to a conclusion that Lucy handled the people better, and she was probably their favourite queen. A faun came to the palace asking for bread? She handed them the bread. She grew into a pretty and independent woman, but her charm was still intact. She was great at meeting with other kingdoms, for Lucy was very good at maintaining peace and being in control of the situation. She had learned sewing, something she found herself naturally gifted.

Edmund turned into the best swordsman Narnia had ever seen. He matured, and everyday he mentally tortured himself for his betrayal and for putting his trust on the white witch. He trained for at least two hours non-stop every day, and the boy, due to his title as 'The Just' stayed in charge of the legal affairs in Narnia, determining who was guilty and who wasn't, and for the breaking of the laws, what kind of punishment did the foes deserve. The boy also received marriage proposals, but not as much as Peter. He liked the letters as an ego booster, but none of the propositions were even put in discussion, and most of them were for political reasons anyways. The boy liked to keep himself practical, so he was constantly in the library, reading books on history and geography. By his first year as king, he had decorated Narnia like the palm of his hand.

Olivia turned into one of the greatest queens in the history of Narnia. She was very political and organised, and she was always in the front line of every battle. Sometimes, Peter liked to joke that her title should have been ' The wise ' or ' The Courageous '. The girl had grown into a smart woman, her mind as sharp as her blade. She constantly read, and if her focus was not on a book, it was either something related to the kingdom, or to her dresses. The girl didn't bother by getting distracted by her marriage proposals, and never opened a single letter. She and Peter grew a strong relationship, as both had similar thoughts and worked on the same fields when talking about ruling Narnia. She had become an amazing fighter, and everyday she became better with the spear. But, still with all of the pressure and work on her plate, she managed to find time for herself and her personal affairs.

Olivia and Edmund grew on to a rocky relationship, for he was the only Pevensie she didn't get along with. Sometimes, she let her harsh judgement get the best of her, and Edmund seemed to say a lot of stupid things when she was around, for he had developed a bit of a crush on the Kirke girl. They often found themselves arguing on little things and irrelevant topics. But nevertheless, when needed, they allowed their professionalism to be superior. Olivia had also developed a crush on Ed, despite her best efforts to ignore it.

All five kids had grown into special people. They matured, got over a few flaws they had, but more importantly, they learned valuable lessons that will be recalled for the rest of their lives.
