" Thank you, my lord. "

THE SLAVE TRADERS had been defeated. Edmund rushed to find Olivia and his sister, and he immediately engulfed them both into a tight hug the minute he came across the two. Now, the kings and queens and crew of the Dawn treader walked around the city as the citizens cheered and clapped for them.

" Your majesty! Your majesty! " - A man exclaimed, and Olivia recognized him as the man that went screaming after the woman in the carriage, and that she was taken by the mist.

Out of instinct, Drinian used his body to shove the man away from the kings and queen ( Lucy was a bit behind ) - " Hold it! " - The captain warned as Edmund, Caspian and Olivia turned their gaze to the two men.

" My wife was just taken this morning! " - Exclaimed the man. His daughter came running behind him, exclaiming 'daddy! Daddy!'

" It's alright, Drinian. " - Caspian told his captain, who released the man and he approached the king. The little girl was tugging on her father's clothing, calling out for him still.

" I beg you, take me with you. " - He said, now walking by the side of the kings and queens.

Behind them, a woman was heard screaming 'Gael!'. - " I want to come with you! " - Exclaimed the daughter, holding her father's arm desperately.

" No, Gael, stay with your aunt. " - The man told his daughter calmly. An older woman came from behind and gently grabbed the little girl, and she was out of sight.

" I'm a fine sailor. " - The man said. - " Been on the seas my whole life. "

" Of course, you must. " - Caspian said, smiling. He gently patted the man's shoulder, and he thanked his king. He went back on his tracks to say goodbye to his daughter.

After that, the crew continued on their path back to the small boats and in order to head back to the ship. Olivia, Edmund, Lucy and Caspian were receiving many praises from the people of the island, thankful for saving them from the slave traders. Many cheers of 'long live the kings and queens!' could be heard, and many came and brought gifts to them. Olivia had received lots of fabrics, which she liked a lot, for she planned on sewing some female clothing for her, but her favourite gift was the flower crown she had received from a young girl and a young boy ( who seemed to be twins ).

As they walked down the final ramp towards the port, where the smaller boats awaited the crew, their walk was interrupted by the lord Edmund and Caspian had encountered during the dungeons, calling out for Caspian ( My King! My king! ). The lord held an old and rusty sword in hand, which seemed to be covered in some kind of yellow material.

The kings and queens stopped in front of lord Bern, who said " This sword was given to me by your father. I hid it safely in a cave all these years. "

Edmund stopped on his tracks and scooched closer to take a peek at the weapon. " That's an old Narnian sword. " He said, furrowing his eyebrows.

" It's from your golden age. " - The lord nodded, confirming Edmund's statement. " There are seven such swords, gifts from Aslan to protect Narnia. Your father entrusted them to us. Here, take it. " - The elderly said, moving the sword closer to Caspian. " And may it protect you. "

Caspian used both his hands and delicately grabbed the sword, adjusting his hands carefully as he moved to analyse the old weapon. Behind them, the crowd of islanders cheered, watching the scene.

" Thank you, my lord. And we shall find your lost citizens. " - Caspian nodded firmly. Then, the small party started moving towards the boat once again. But, before they reached the wooden transports, Caspian called Edmund's name.

Edmund and Olivia turned around to face Caspian. The Telmarine handed the Pevensie boy the sword, and walked back to one of the boats. Edmund raised the sword gently, and Olivia patted his shoulder with a smile on her face.

Night fell, and the Dawn treader sailed away from narrowhaven. Everyone headed to their respective chambers. Lucy had her own private cabin, while Eustace shared one with Caspian ( and Reepicheep the mouse, though he did not occupy much space ) and Edmund and Olivia had their privacy.

Eustace was still in shock and confused about the situation, and the boy would spend hours writing on that little diary of his.

September 3

Dear diary,

There has been an extraordinary turn of events. I've been abducted by my cousins and set adrift in uncharted waters in some ridiculous looking boat. What is worse, I share a room with an obnoxious mouse thing. And I thought bunking with my cousin was bad enough.

So far, every person I've met in this strange place suffers from the most florid delusions. Chasing green mists and looking for lost lords. I can only assume that is the result of a poor diet. Or they're all just barking mad. Cousin Edmund is no exception. He spends every spare second rubbing that tin sword of his like it's some magic lantern. Poor fool clearly needs a hobby.

That crazy girlfriend of his is no better ( and turns out, she is not fake after all ). That girl spends half of her day sewing with cousin Lucy, and when she isn't sewing, she is duelling with crewmembers, or Caspian or cousin Edmund. Apparently, duelling is a very popular sport among these delusional people.

And these people are also little selfish and hungry bastards. I was grabbing myself an Orange, when that mouse thing suddenly came to a halt and humiliated me in front of all these people. We also found out about a little girl that boarded the ship ( her name's Gale ), and she is being treated like royalty, even though she sneaked herself inside without an invitation.

September 6

Dear diary,

Cousin Edmund has gone absolutely mad. He and his girlfriend, that crazy girl named Olivia, were talking to me today, and my cousin revealed that they are engaged! Those two are absolutely bullocks, for they are only seventeen, and are still to go to college, and are already thinking about weddings and marriage.

The crewmen talk non-stop about this great lion named Aslan. I overheard this after Caspian put me to work on deck like a slave. He really is a true tyrant.

September 7

Dear diary,

Today the day was a little bit better. We had minimal wind coming from the west, and cousin Edmund and his crazy girlfriend didn't bother me today because they were too busy whispering and giggling and kissing each other.

September 8

Dear diary,

We are still sailing east. That new girl, Gale, is now bunking with cousin Lucy. Everyone in this bloody ship is giving the three girls special attention, and they also give them more water and more food. Caspian says that is because they are girls, and Alberta would say it is because of things like that makes society not go forward and because it is sexism.

September 9

Dear diary,

Today we saw land on the horizon. I think it is a high mountain in the south, but I wasn't too preoccupied by that, because I'm growing a temperature, and of course these bloody animals do not have a thermometer on board, and now I have to rest in bed all day.

After that, Eustace forgot about writing in his diary for a while.
