*Marinette grumpled taking of her sip of her hot leave juice as Philips coughed finishing one of the macaroons*

Markus: late at night around 10 PM a couple named alya Cesaire and nino lahiffe were attacked, Mr. Lahiffe suffered a concussion and Mrs. Corsair suffered a broken jaw in 3 different places and a dislocated jaw with it. When Mr. Lahiffe came too he told us that the two of you were responsible. Any reason why he would say that?

*Marinette bless her and her a acting skills as she actually looked in shock*

Marinette:i have absolutely no idea, I mean we used to go to the same school when we were smaller but after that I cut all ties with the two of them after I was kicked out of that place.

Philips:kicked out?

Jason: personal reasons that has nothing to do with your investigation

*Jason said matter of factly trying to control his hate and anger, Philips nodded and gestured Marinette to continue

Marinette: so really I haven't had any interactions with them in years at least no real interaction since sure we see each other living in this city will do that, but I always make it my business to just walk away from them

Markus;walk away from them, ok and your husband

*Markus said looking at Jason who sighed and said his side or tried too he was surprised when Marinette took over. Surprised and a little turned on if he's telling the truth loving how assertive she can be*

Marinette: my husband is American and only been here for a few months so he hasn't even met them

Jaso:uh she's right, I don't really leave this house if Marinette doesn't invite me to come with her

Marinette; that's something we'll need to fix but that can wait anything else officers?

*Markus hummed and wrote it all down in his notepad, Marinette could feel how uncomfortable Jason was so she grabbed his hand and squeezed it for support*

Markus:I see I see, tell me after you finished the movie did anybody see you?

Marinette:i mean we were at the park xxxx xxx xxxx around what 10-10:30

Jason:yeah somewhere around there.

Marinette:yeah 10:30 I'm sure there some sort of cámaras there that could place us there, after that we came home.

Phillips:to get do that park from the location of the crime is a 1 hour drive

*Markus started writing in his notepad while Philips stuffed his face*

Jason:so that's proof that it couldn't have been us right?

Markus:yes, once we get a DNA test on your clothes we'll be done, if they come back clean we won't bother you two anymore. Come oh Phillips stop stuffing your face with the treats we have work to do

Philips:give me a break this macaroons are heavenly

Marinette:oh thank you it feels so nice to be appreciated

*Marinette said looking at Jason in a teasing matter, Jason with a macaroon in his mouth almost choked*

Jason:y..yeah there amazing!

*Jason said with his mouth full which made Marinette giggle. She looked at the officers with a kind smile*

Marinette: please take the plate with you, it's the least I can do, to thank you both for protecting us out there, it's not just ladybug who does all the work
