Mereen

Daenerys sat on her throne and was listening to her subjects.

"You stand before Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen." Missandei announced. "The First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of Mereen, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons."

"Don't be afraid, my friend." Daenerys said to the man.

"The Queen says you may approach and speak." Missandei told the man and he started walking closer. He then started speaking and Missandei started translating for Daenerys. "He is a goatherd. He says he prayed for your victory against the slave masters."

"I thank him for his prayers. Daenerys said and Missandei translated for the man and he presented a bundle to them. He then unwrapped it and it was a burnt goat. He the started speaking.

"It was your dragons, he says." Missandei translated. "They came this morning for his flock. He hopes he has not offended your grace, but bow he has nothing."

Daenerys sighed. "Tell this man I am sorry for his hardship. She told Missandei. I cannot bring back his goats, but I will see that he is paid their value three times over." The dragon queen said.

The man started speaking after Missandei spoke to him. He was happy and left with a smile. Missandei then looked at Daenerys and nodded as the queen smiled.

"Send the next one in." Daenerys said. Just then a well dressed man walked in.

"The Noble Hizdahr zo Loraq begs and audience with the Queen." A man announced.

"The noble Hizdahr zo Loraq can speak for himself." She said and Hizdahr walked forward and bowed.

"Queen Daenerys"  Hizdahr spoke up. "Tales of your beauty were not exaggerated."

Daenerys gave him a fake smile. "I thank you." She said.

"Mine is one or the oldest and proudest families in Mereen." He said.

"Then it is an honor to receive you." Daenerys said.

"My father, one of Mereen's most respected and beloved citizens, oversaw the restoration and maintenance of its greatest landmarks. He said the pyramid included." Hizdahr said.

"For that he has my gratitude." Daenerys said. "I should be honored to meet him."

"You have, your grace." Hizdahr said. "You crucified him." Daenerys' facial is changed. "I pray you'll never live to see a member of your family treated with such cruelty."

"Your father crucified innocent children." Daenerys argued.

"My father spoke against crucifying those children." Hizdahr defended. "He decried it as a criminal act, but was overruled. Is it justice to answer one crime with another?"

"I am sorry you no longer have a father," Daenerys spoke up. "But my treatment of the masters was no crime. You'd be wise to remember that." She warned.

"What's done is done." Hizdahr said.  You are the Queen and I am a servant of Mereen. A servant who does not wish to see it's traditions eradicated."

"And what traditions do you speak of?" Daenerys inquired.

"The tradition of funeral rite." Hizdahr said. "Proper burial in the Temple of Graces."

"My father and one hundred and sixty-two noble Mereenese are still nailed to those posts, carrion for vultures, rotting in the sun." Hizdahr went down on his knees. "Your grace, I ask that you order those men taken down so that they might receive proper burial."
