Prisha's POV

I haven't visited the hotel the past three days and now I can't push it back anymore.

Crowds have never been my scene and with the event going on it was undoubtedly one of the most crowded places in the city.

But it's my responsibility and I can't falter from it. Just three days and there have been loads of miscommunications between the two parties and if the situation isn't salvaged anytime soon then I fear this event might end before it is expected.

" Mumma.. hee... " I heard Aadi and as I turned to him he grinned. I think I've got my dose of adrenaline to pass this day.

I picked him up and held my bag with my other hand before locking my room and leaving. I never had a habit of someone else doing my chores. And after aadi was born, I detest anyone entering my space.

I don't let anyone touch his things, his clothes are washed by me, his bed is cleaned by me, everything regarding him is done by me, except his meals. I tried doing it myself as well but it wasn't possible.

So after he started eating food, all his meals are prepared by either maa or sunita tai.

" Be good, okay. Mumma will come home soon. " I told him as he played with my scarf, he gave no response but I know he heard me, it's just that the scarf is the most intriguing thing for him right now.

" You're going to the hotel today? " Maa asked me as I sat for breakfast. I'll be arriving early today so she hadn't packed lunch.

" Yeah, I asked baba. But he was reluctant to go. " My first thought had always been to let baba manage the event but he's been adamant about interfering in it.

" You know him, he's reluctant to do everything that requires him to leave his office. " She grumbled and I chuckled. She's right but in more than one meaning. I could even hear her complaint in the words.

I've listened to her tales of how baba sometimes even forgot to come back home, saying that it's too far from the office. He's quite lazy sometimes.

We talked for sometime and when it was time for me to leave I tried to hand him to maa.

But for some reason he seemed really reluctant to go to her. This used to happen in the first few months I started going out but after that he's never made a fuss. But now he looked as if he was ready to cry any minute.

" What's wrong with him? " Maa asked and I had no answer for her.
" I don't know. He's been clingy since morning. "

I consoled him for a minute before trying again but the result was the same and this time he really started crying.

" Shhh... Shh.. bacha.. It's okay.. Mumma's not going anywhere. bas... bas.. bas.. " I patted his back and fondled him a bit before he calmed down.

He had just relaxed when my phone rang, I asked maa to see who it was and as if everything had to happen today, Mr. Rajvansh was hoping for a meeting.

Don't think the hoping was meant to give me leeway, it's just a formality. As the hosts we are required to do whatever they hope for, as long as it's within our limits.

" Let's do this, I'll come along and you can try to make him sleep along the way. Once he's asleep, I'll bring him back. " Maa suggested and it was the best option we had now.

I nodded at her and she changed her clothes before packing a kit for aadi, if needed, and we left.

Forty minutes, that's how long it took for us to reach and my baby had managed to remain awake regardless of my attempt to lull him to sleep.
