I sighed heavily and lent my head against the steering wheel, just as I was having some downtime and watching some tv, Hotch's name popped up on my phone with an urgent message saying to get to the office immediately. It was 8:30 pm, something serious must have happened.

I climbed out of my car and headed towards the elevator. Alex and Spencer were heading towards the elevator from the other side of the parking garage.

It had been a few weeks since our girls night featuring truth or dare, and this little crush I had on Spencer seemed to keep growing. A seed had been planted in my head and I couldn't shake it. Every time I see him, and his pretty eyes and his pretty face, it gets stronger.

"Hey, Nat." Spencer greeted with a smile

"Hey." I replied. I almost wanted to avert my eyes like a teenager with a crush.

The three of us stepped into the lift that opened quickly for once, riding the contraption up to the sixth floor. The door opened and Alex sighed heavily as she stepped out.

"This again?" Alex asked irritatedly

"Did you miss another flight to see James?" Spencer asked

"Worse. He came here. He's cooking and watching house hunters without me. You know, he'd better not try to make an offer again." Alex said

My brows furrow when my eyes fall upon my other team mates. Penelope was sitting beside Derek on a desk with her octopus mug clutched in her hand. She was looking at JJ eagerly, like she was telling an intense story. Rossi was sitting on the other side of the desk, also listening.

"So, we get Henry to bed, and, you know, we're about to finally have some alone time with mommy and daddy, and...you guys know the rest." JJ said in annoyance

"Ah, trying to dust off the old cobwebs." Derek said with a laugh

"Inappropriate." Penelope chastised him

"What?" Derek asked with a boyish laugh

"Seriously, though, how long has it been?" Penelope asked

"Too long." JJ deadpanned

"Do we know what the case is?" Alex asked

"Not yet. Hotch just said to drop everything and get back here." Rossi said

"You need some private adult time. I'll watch Henry. No bad guys, no kids, in that order. Go to Mexico. Or the Maldives, maybe." Penelope said

"Cruz?" JJ said

"Yes! Exactly. A cruise would be perfect." Penelope exclaimed

"No, no, no. Matt Cruz." JJ said. I looked up just in time to see Cruz and Hotch walking out of his office.

"Let's get started." Hotch announced.

"Wonder why Cruz is here." I said to Spencer as we all began making our way to the round table room.

"I don't know, but it can't be good." Spencer replied.

The team all got themselves situated around the round table, ready to fight crime like the modern knights of Camelot.

"How are those ribs?" Cruz asked JJ

"It still hurts when I laugh. You?" JJ asked with a smile

"The scars impress the ladies." Cruz said. He then walked up to the front. "I hope you don't mind, Ms Garcia, if I took the liberty of having the much less talented version of you in my office load the case details."

"Oh, yeah. Sure, no problem." Penelope said as she took a seat

"A good friend of mine, sheriff Peter Coleman, down in Briscoe county, Texas, reached out to me about a possible case. He's a former Texas ranger, he's a good guy." Cruz said
