Having successfully snuck past the enemies, the trio made it into the hangar where the two F-14 Tomcats stood.

"Okay, let's see here.." Emerson said, mumbling to herself before she flipped a switch which started up the generator. "Okay, babe, once I give you the signal for air, you need to flip this switch until the needle reaches one-twenty. When the engine starts, you need to pull the pins and disconnect everything. Got it?"

"Yeah." Bradley nodded and glanced around.

Emerson pressed another button and exclaimed happily as it worked. "Mind stowing the ladder for me?" She asked her boyfriend as she passed him to climb into the jet while putting her helmet on.

Once she had gotten situated in the cockpit, the brunette looked at her instrument panel. "Okay." She mumbled. "It's been a hot minute, huh, Deathwing?"

She glanced over to the second F-14 to find that Skye had also gotten herself situated in the cockpit, and Bradley had just stowed the ladder to her aircraft.

With a smile, the female pilot flipped a few switches before she turned to her boyfriend and signaled him for air, to which he had flipped the switch and had quickly done the same for Skye.

"Come on, sweetheart." Emerson mumbled and flipped another switch, which emitted a roar of the F-14's engine starting up.

With both F-14s' engines up and running, Bradley quickly disconnected the pipes and pulled the pins for both aircrafts before he climbed onto the wing and climbed into the backseat behind Emerson.

"Oh my God!" He exclaimed as he stared at the instrument panel. "This thing is so old."

"Don't act so happy about it, babe." Emerson teased with a soft giggle before she eased the F-14 out onto the runway, with Skye in tow behind them. "Canopy?"

"Clear!" Bradley responded as he strapped himself in.

With the all-clear, the brunette lowered the canopy and put her foot on the brake as she stared at the runway ahead of them.

"Both runways are cratered." Bradley stated. "How're we gonna get these museum pieces in the air?"

"No shit, Sherlock." Skye's voice echoed over comms before silence ensued, which didn't put an ease to Bradley's nerves.

With a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips, Emerson opened a hatch on her instrument panel and flipped a switch that had eased out the wings.

The tall pilot glanced around and peered out of the canopy before her shifted his gaze towards his girlfriend in the front seat. "Why are the wings coming out, Em?" He asked.

"Skye?" Emerson quizzed, ignoring her boyfriend's question.

"Right behind you." Skye responded as Bradley peered behind them to see that his cousin had also eased out the wings to her F-14.

The brunette's smirk broadened slightly as she pushed the throttle forward, which had ignited the engine.

"Em, this is a taxiway, not a runway." Bradley stated. "This is a very short taxiway, Em."

"Just sit back, hang on, and enjoy the ride." Emerson responded. "Ready, Skye?"

"Ready." The blonde responded.

Pressing her foot down on the accelerator, Emerson and Bradley had felt their bodies being pushed back into their seat.

"Holy shit!" Bradley exclaimed as the jet sped down the destroyed runway for take-off.

"You're such a wuss, Brad." Skye teased as she followed at a safe distance behind her best friend and cousin.

"Come on, come on.." Emerson mumbled as her eyes shifted between the needle on her instrument panel and the wall at the end of the runway.

"Em.." Bradley called to her. "Em?!"

"Here we go." The brunette said and pulled the joystick back, lifting the F-14 off the runway to its ascent in the air.

"Holy shit!" Bradley muttered and closed his eyes, embracing himself for impact as they neared the wall.

The female pilot pulled the F-14 up in a steep climb and narrowly missed the wall, which resulted in the front of their landing gear being taken off as they had become airborne.

Glancing behind them, Bradley saw that Skye had become airborne before she glided her F-14 alongside them.

"You're gonna be the death of me, woman." Bradley muttered to Emerson as he turned around in his seat, still in shock from the past three minutes.

"I love you too, babe." Emerson giggled in response as they leveled out.

The tall pilot couldn't help but smile with a slight shake of his head as he looked down at his flight gear and turned on his ESAT.

"Sir, we're receiving a signal from Rooster's ESAT." A male officer announced to the Admirals. "There seems to be a malfunction."

Admiral Bates arched a brow. "Have you lost him?" He questioned.

"No, sir." The officer responded. "He's supersonic."

"He's airborne." The Admiral stated in surprise.

"In what?" Admiral Simpson voiced the question that had been running through both his and his colleague's heads.

"Sir, overwatch is reporting two F-14 Tomcats are airborne and headed for our position." The female officer announced.

Hondo looked up at this news as Admiral Bates shook his lightly, his face in a mixture of relief and shock.

"It can't be.." The Admiral said in disbelief. "It can't be."

"Deathwing and Siren.." Admiral Simpson stated.
