"So you were telling me how to get the troll moon stone before they interrupted us" Terrance said turning to Ava
"Yes, the legend says the heir has to be saved by fire from trolls and where the attackers burned the necklace will appear"
"Hmm" Terrance said in thought. She walked over to the troll corps with her sword in it
She studied it, it was an elvish blade, made of gold and rare elvish metal, the previously intricate design on the blade and handle had become laced with gold, making the weapon more eye catchingly gorgeous than one could imagine
She reached down and tapped the handle as if afraid it'd burn her
"Huh, it's not hot" she said curiously surprised
She wrapped her fingers around it and yanked it out of the troll's abdomen
The balance was unspeakable and it felt natural, like this sword was made only for her.
She moved and flipped it around. The control was astonishing
"This sword is more brilliant than ever" she said in awe
She looked down at the troll and saw a sparkle. She leaned forward more
She peered down into the hole she had drawn the sword from and saw a chain
She reached down and pulled it up. The more it entered the light, out of darkness, the more it glistened.
"The moon stone" Terrance said eyes wide
"Well that was unexpected" Ava commented
Terrance put it over her head and pulled her hair out from under it. She smiled and walked to Jed
"Well jeddy" she said standing in front of him, face to face, gazing into his eyes, "you saved my life and I can't thank you enough"
"It's what friends do" he replied matching her expression
"Oh so we've moved to friend status" she said smirking
"Of course"
Terrance took a step closer and kissed his cheek before stepping back again
"Well great" she smiled
"I best be off, I'll be around if you need" he said stretching his wings
"You sure you don't want to just join us? Our trips would be much faster by flight"
Jed smirked, "that would be to easy wouldn't it, I'll be around"
He flapped a few times and darted through the air and out of sight with in seconds
"Well that was cool" Ava said in somewhat of a narrating way
"Off to the dwarves then!" Terrance said excitedly, she couldn't help but feel overjoyed by knowing she and the dragon would be one sooner than later after all
