You stared aimlessly out the window, watching the rain pour down. You could barely see anything out of the window but it was fascinating to watch single droplets race each other against your window pane. A crack of thunder following by a giant flash of lightening make you jump, goose bumps rising high on your arms. Normally, thunderstorms didn't scare you, in fact, you loved them most days. But when it's late at night, you're home alone and there are an abundance of super natural creatures running around in the shadows...it's only natural for you to be slightly terrified.

You sighed heavily and reached for your phone that was resting on your desk. You felt slightly pathetic that you were about to call your boyfriend, Isaac, to come over but when another crack of thunder rumbled your house, you decided against any feeling that was telling you not to call him. He picked up on the second ring and just the sound of his voice put you at a slight ease.

"You're scared, aren't you?" Isaac greeted you and you could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Yes...you know me to well." You replied, a rosy color slowly appearing on your cheeks. "Do you think there is anyway you could come over? I'm going to be alone for the next 3 hours, at least."

"I'll be there in 10."

You smiled to yourself, hanging up the phone. Isaac was the perfect boyfriend. This wasn't the first time you had called to him to come over because you were scared and each time you called, he would be over as fast as he could. His protectiveness over you was one of the many things that made you fall in love with him. That's right, you had fallen so crazy in love with him and it scared you like hell. You never thought it was possible to love another person as much as you loved Isaac.

It was the kind of love where his happiness was more important than your own. You would do anything and everything to always see him smile. It was the kind of love that made your heart beat ten times faster whenever you saw him and being wrapped up in his arms felt like home. No amount of time spent with him was ever enough. He was a drug and you were so damn addicted.

You were brought out of your thoughts at the sound of the doorbell. You rushed to the front door, peeking out the window just to make sure it was Issac and you swung the door open. He was drenched from head to two. His curls were matted down and stuck to the side of his head. His dark blue shirt and black jacket looked like they were painted on to his body. You opened the door wider so he could come in.

"Did you run here?" You asked.

He smiled cheekily at you. "Scott wouldn't let me use the car."

You shook your head, walking over to the linen closet in the hallway. You grabbed a few towels and returned back to the living room. "Remind me to have a word with Scott."
Isaac chuckled and took the towels out of your hands. "I would've walked in any kind of weather for you, you know that."

Isaac had a habit of saying extremely cheesy phrases, like the one he just said, but you didn't mind. They were cheesy but they made your heart flutter every time. "Come on, I'm sure my dad has a change of clothes you can fit in."
Once Issac was in a dry pair of clothes, you both crawled into your bed. He wrapped his arms tightly around you and you laid your head on his chest. Isaac's scent engulfed you and you could slightly hear the beat of his heart-your favorite place to be. The storm raged on outside but the sound of the thunder and the sight of the lightening was just white noise now. Isaac traced his fingers lightly up and down your arms, drawing random patterns after awhile.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked suddenly. An evident nervous tone was laced in his voice and butterflies erupted in your stomach. That question always made you nervous because most of the time it equaled something bad.

But you muttered out a small "Of course."

Isaac's chest rose and the deflated as he let out a shaky breath. You clearly heard him gulp and that just made you even more nervous. "I don't really know how to tell you this..." Oh God, this really can't be good. "I've debated with myself over the past few days and I figured that I should just come out and say it."

You sat up, untangling yourself from Isaac's arms. Your heart was racing and you weren't sure you wanted him to keep talking. "You're really scaring me."

He sat up with you and gently grabbed both of your hands. "I'm sorry, Y/N, I just..." He looked down before looking back up, looking straight into your eyes. "I'm in love with you..."

A slow smile spread across your face as the realization of what he said finally set in. "Really?"

Isaac nodded, a nervous look still on his face. You let go of his hands and brought your hands up to his face. You kissed him passionately. He jumped a little before kissing you, tangling his fingers in your hair. When air became a necessity, you pulled away and rested your forehead against him. "I love you, Isaac."

It was his turn to say "Really?"

You nodded. "So much."
