As you felt yourself slowly rising out of your deep sleep, you became more aware of your surroundings. You could hear the birds chirping outside and could even feel the presence of the blinding sunlight over your closed eyelids.

Slowly, you opened one eyelid to avoid being assaulted by the light streaming through your window. You internally groaned. Why did it have to be so sunny? You sometimes wished it would be dark and rainy in the morning to facilitate your wishes to go back to sleep. Nevertheless, with the sun's decision to be bright and cheery this morning, you had no choice but to fully wake up - there was no way you would be able to go back to sleep now.

You yawned, lazily rubbed the sleep out of your eyes and proceeded to stare at the ceiling wondering what the day had in store for you. You quickly realized there wasn't much on the agenda considering today was a Sunday and that you had already completely most of your homework. You were still in the middle of thinking and staring at the ceiling when you heard the faint sound of breathing.

You froze, your ears perking up, straining to hear the noise more closely. You eyes quickly scanned your room while your hand slowly crept under your pillow and felt the cool wooden handle of your "safety precaution" dagger, as you liked to call it.

You quietly sat up from your bed and diverted your eyes to where your ears detected the source of the breathing. You were confused. If something had been hiding to attack you, it should have attacked by now. What was it waiting for? Your eyes again darted from corner to corner and fell upon the rug next to your bed for a fleeting second, seeing a flash of blue and black.

Doing a double-take, you glanced back again at the rug and breathed a huge sigh of relief and sheer annoyance at the same time. "Isaac?!"

"Hmm..." he softly responded, not quite waking up. The boy was sprawled on the floor next to your bed, his mouth slightly hanging open. His curls were disheveled and his blue and black shirt was in disarray.

You huffed, grabbing an extra pillow from your bed and hurling it at him. "Isaac!"

"Wha...? Woah!" Isaac's eyes shot open as he scrambled to get on his feet, "Uh...(Y/N)! Hi. Uh... I can explain. I think."

You crossed your arms across your chest. "Well?" you demanded. You hoped your anger masked the fact that your heart was racing a hundred beats per minute seeing him right in your room.

"I...uh..." he trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck, trying to avoid your glare.

"What the hell, Isaac, you can't just show up in my room like that!" you exclaimed.

"I didn't-". You narrowed your eyes at him. "-just show up, I mean!" He looked incredibly guilty - like a child being caught stealing chocolate. As confused as you were, you couldn't help but think he looked slightly adorable. But that was besides the point.

"What? How-"

"(Y/N), what's going on up there?" your mom called. Shit.
"Nothing, Mom! Just hit my toe on the bed frame!" you called back, then diverting your attention back to the six foot, two werewolf teenager standing in your room.
"What do you mean you just didn't show up?!" you whispered. "How long have you been here?!"

Isaac ran a hand through his curls, "Uh, since last night-"

"Since last night?!"

"Look, I was supposed to be gone before you woke up! I just fell asleep I guess," he shrugged.

"I don't think you're getting the point here, wolf boy. Why were you even here in the first pl-"

"Okay! Okay, fine. I just...I was worried," he said, looking down at his feet. Although Isaac was much more confident after having turned and been accepted into Scott's pack, he couldn't quite kick his old habit of looking down when he was nervous or scared.

You softened your gaze. "Worried about what?"

"About you! I mean there have been so many kidnappings and all with the new - god knows what creatures they are -and I was worried you could be one of them, you know, since you know Scott well and Scott always seems to be like a doggie treat for every supernatural bad guy in the worl-"

"Isaac," you began in an attempt to slow his rambling, but he cut you off again.

"Yeah, yeah I know, you can take care of yourself," he said sighing.

You laughed, "Yes, but also, thank you-" He raised his eyebrows in surprise and you continued, "-for watching out for me. But you might wanna warn me before you decide to sleepover so I don't end up sticking my blade straight through you."

Isaac breathed a sigh of relief that you weren't going to kill him out of irritation and smiled. "Yeah, noted."

You began to smile back, but soon realized that Isaac Lahey was standing right in front you while you were dressed in nothing but shorts and a tank top. "Uh...Isaac?"

"Hm?" his eyes snapped back to your face as if he wasn't just checking you out and you bit back the urge to laugh.

"You might want to leave before my parents find you here. You might be a wolf, but to them you're just a teenage boy in their daughter's room. In the morning," you added, hoping he would catch your drift.

"Oh, um, right," he said, slightly turning pink. "So I'll just..." he pointed towards your bedroom window and you nodded. He turned to walk towards the window when he stopped and turned back towards you. "Be careful okay?" he whispered before briefly pressing his lips to your forehead.

"I'll see you around," he said, winking before disappearing out the window. You slowly let out the breath you didn't know you'd been holding and squealed, hopping up down. Yeah he only kissed your forehead, but it was something.

"(Y/N)?"

"I'm fine, Mom!" More than fine, you thought.
