Chapter 16:

"Sir, could you please come over here for a sec?"
Another man motioned to the officer in front of me.

He sighed.

"What is it now?"

"The newbie is sick."

"Please wait here."
He paused.
"Hey kiddo, keep an eye on him." He then added and left.

My curious eyes watched his back as he moved farther away.
After a few more steps, he stopped. He then kneeled down and talked to a young girl around my age.

I had no idea what he said to her.

I didn't even know why I stared at them.

"Umm..."

I turned my head the other way on impulse.
The student watched me from above.

Chapter 17:

The moment we made eye contact, she averted her gaze.

Was she afraid of me?

"Go home."

The old officer said over his shoulder, as he made his way back to me.

"Hey Nam! Get her camera and take the rest of the photographs! Hurry up! We don't have all day!"

His attitude had completely changed.

"Fuck. We don't need weaklings in this field of work. Why did she even bother?"

He kept mumbling until he reached my spot.

"You. How are you now? Will you finally talk?"

Chapter 18:

The camera clicked and several flashlights issued.
The new guy descended and got as close to the body as he could.

I couldn't bear to look.

"She looks horrible. How are we even gonna identify her?" He commented.

"Are you stupid or what? Just send her to the Institute."
The crisp voice of a woman came from behind.

"Ah, yes. Alright."

"Hey, you! Are you done taking notes? Did you get everyone's data?" She continued,
questioning the officer in front of me.

He couldn't help but shake his head.
"This one's a tough one."

"Should I just take him to the section then?"

"Should I just take him to the section then?"
