Chapter 25:

Camera lights and wireless microphones accompanied us all the way to the police car.

The reporters continued to assert,
showering me with a lot of questions.

"Did you know her?"
"How did you meet her?"
"Did you kill her?"
"Why did you push her?"
"Did she say anything?"
"What did she tell you?"

But among all those questions,
there was one in particular, that
tortured and stabbed me cruelly
in the heart.

" w h y ? "

Chapter 26:

It was a regular question,
a trigger that had already been pulled
and a bullet that was heading straight on
to my head.

But I was already a dead man.

The bullet hit—
and the bleeding began.

"Please step aside,"
the officer requested pushing ahead.

But the crowd grew wilder,
rushing in waves,
asking the same question over and over again-

w h y

w h y

w h y

to which the answer came quick
from the sidelines.

"HE PUSHED HER OFF!
I SAW IT! I SAW IT ALL!
HE PUSHED HER OFF!"

A desperate cry,
shameless and bold,
shot from the lips of an older woman.

"I HOPE YOU ROT IN JAIL!"

"I HOPE YOU ROT IN JAIL!"
