Chapter 13: Promise

Lilyanne's POV

"Crime dismissed" I said waving my hand in the air.

Third day out of seven and so far it was going good.

"Princess Lilyanne, no more criminal cases today" Ivan my temporary advisor told me.

"Thank you Ivan, do you know where Erin is?"

"He should be getting out of a meeting by now" Ivan checked his watch.

"I will be on my way to him then if you need me" I told him.

I walked down the well lit hallways.

I could do this, I could be a great queen! My child would be a wonderful ruler someday and-

The sound of a baby crying broke me out of my thoughts.

Turning the hallway I found the newborn nursery with the queen rocking the baby inside.

"Your majesty" I said leaning forward.

"Lilyanne, how are you dear?" She asked.

"I'm doing good"

"How is that heir of yours coming along?" She asked.

My eyes widened, father must of told her.

"I'm adjusting quite well, it's going to be different" I mumbled.

"Well come here and hold Prince Oslo" she motioned to me.

I walked over and placed my arms forward while she gently set the delicate prince in my warmth.

He was absolutely darling and his tiny hands were beautiful.

"Dear I'm going to run to the bathroom, could you watch Oslo for me?"

"Of course I would love too" I beamed.

She rushed out as I sat in the rocker.

I would be rocking my baby someday holding him or her close.

"A beautiful mother" Erin's voice spoke softly.

My cheeks went red, "thank you Erin."

He walked in bending over looking at Oslo.

"I can't wait for our baby to be born" he whispered.

Does that mean he wants to be apart of the child's life openly?

"Thank you dear for watching him, I am going to take him to his father now. Good Night to you both!" The queen said walking in and out.

"Erin what do you mean by that?"

He looked at me and then at my stomach placing a hand on the baby.

"I want to be there every step and every moment for you. Lilyanne you make me feel the most unimaginable things and I want to see where this takes us."

Tears were forming at the edge of my eyes as I stood up with him, "do you really mean that?"

"Every bit darling" he told me while cupping my face with his hands.

Quickly he placed his lips against mine igniting another warm feeling.

Erin meant everything to me and more, he made my heart race and my body sweat. I knew I liked this boy a lot and there was no denying it, but there was something tugging at me in the pit of my stomach saying no. What if he left? Could I trust him?

Soon we broke the kiss leaning against each others foreheads.

"Darling? Will you go on a date with me tonight?" He asked lifting my chin.

I nodded my head still catching my breath.

"Perfect" he laughed while pulling me down the hall.

Once we reached the garden doors guards opened them with one push.

My mouth fell to the floor in awe.

Candles were everywhere, a light music was playing in the background, food was set up on the floor, and a flower aroma was very strong.

"Erin did... did you think of this?" I asked.

"Every bit and just for you" he whispered.

The doors closed behind us as we walked to the small picnic area.

Erin quickly poured some sparkling water and laid out some chocolate strawberries.

Reaching forward I quickly ate all food in sight with Erin.

"Woah, take it easy in there" he laughed pointing to my stomach.

"That was amazing" I giggled to myself.

We continued to talk and laugh for a couple of hours making the most of our night.

I laid back on the floor in laughter, "you were quite the troublemaker!"

"I was but now I'm alright" he laughed with me.

Our laughter died down and we were silent.

I sat up with a smile still on my face.

Then he did the unimaginable.

He stood up and got on one knee pulling out a long box.

"Lilyanne this isn't an engagement so you can breathe but this is a promise necklace. I promise to be there for you and our child. Then someday in the future, hopefully there can be an us."

I got up and embraced him into a hug, "I wouldn't want anything more."

He pulled away after a long embrace and cupped my face.

"I am the luckiest guy in the world" he whispered while leaning forward connecting his lips with mine.

This boy has my heart racing in the best ways possible.
