Ari's Pov

I hear the doorbell ringing, I get up to answer it and it's Ethan. He hugs me as soon as I open the door, he smells really good.. Once he lets go we walk into the house to see Jess smiling at us

"What are you looking at Jess?" I question. She just laughs and shakes her head. I pull Ethan to the couch and we sit there watching tv.

After an hour of watching TV my phone goes off. I reach over Ethan's lap to grab my phone and I feel his hand smack my ass. I laugh and look at him and he just smirks. I sit down to answer my phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey" the voice rings from the other side. I know instantly who it is

"Hey Sam what's up?"

Samantha was my other bestfriend she went to middle school with Ethan and I

"I'm having a party tonight you gotta come and you have to invite Ethan" she says cheerfully

"Cool, can I invite my friend Jessica too?"

"Of course" she responds

"Okay, send me your address"

"Okay. It starts at 7. See you there. Toodles" she hung up the phone

"What did Sam want?" Ethan asks

"Just to invite all of us to her party tonight" I say nonchalantly

"A party?!" Jess screams "Let's go!"

Jessica loves parties. Sometimes I think it's her only reason for going to school😂😂

I look at Ethan he looks a bit down. I curl up to him.

"What's wrong E?" I ask him quietly

Ethan's Pov

"What's wrong E?" Ari asks a bit above a whisper

Truth be told, I didn't want to go to this girl's party. Call me selfish but I wanted the rest of the night to be Ari and I.

I look up at her "Come here" I pull her upstairs to her room. Once we get to her room, I close the door and push her against it and kiss her. Our make out session ended about 20 minutes later.

"I love you Arielle, you've been my bestfriend forever. We are meant to be together. If we can't be together, I get it but I just want you to know I'll always love you"

Ari's Pov

After Ethan says that I look at him with tears in my eyes. Of course I love him and want to be with him. But I just don't want to be hurt by him again.

"I love you too Ethan, I really do. You are the best part of my life, you're one of my favorite people and you're my bestfriend. But it really sucks when your bestfriend hurts you and you have but like I said earlier if you show me that you really want to be with me and make this work then it's cool. If not, we both need to move on"

He nods slowly and I sigh about to walk out of my room Ethan grabs my wrist and pulls me into a hug

"I do really love you E" I say hugging back. Once we release from the hug, I give him a small kiss and I giggle "You don't really want to go to this party do you?" I question

"Nope" he says shaking his head

"Do you?" he asks and I shake my head as well

"I'm going to text her back and tell her we aren't coming" I say smiling

"Maybe we could watch Netflix or something?" he suggests

"Yeah, that sounds great" I say after I send Sam the text. "Let's go see what Jess is up to" I walk out the door and run downstairs

"Hey guys" she says with a smirk when she sees us

I ignore the smirk on her face "Hey Jess. Ethan and I aren't going to the party. If you still wanted to you could"

"Actually" she yawns "I think I'm gonna just go home, I'm kinda tired"

I nod and walk her to the door. I whisper in her ear "I know what's going on"

She looks at me and smiles "whatever do you mean, bestfriend?"

I smile back, I say nothing all I do is hug her

She smiles "you're welcome babes" she walks out to her car and drives home

Once Jess is gone, I walk over to Ethan and sit next to him. I kiss his cheek and we turn on Netflix and pick a movie
