He used to make her heart pace
it would feel like everytime she saw him
her heart gained life again,
as though the second she saw him
she was home again...
she loved that feeling
that's probably how she fell in love with him
because he awakened that feeling in her,
like no soul had ever done
But then life continued
and her heart decided it would change too;
he doesn't make her heart pace anymore
when she sees him her heart doesn't beat
as though it's gained life again,
it doesn't feel like she's home again
The feeling has changed
you see it's complicated,
when she thinks about him
tears fill her eyes
and when their eyes meet
he makes her breath hitch in her throat
and her heart drop ,
it's like he's still that someone she loved
almost a year ago but now
he's awakening things in her she's never felt before...
when he looks at her
she feels like
she can't breathe anymore
like he's stolen the air from her lungs
and she's not sure what she's meant to be feeling
as though it's just not in her control
You see, when her heart used to beat
as though it gained life everytime
he glanced over at her,
she knew it was at that moment
the most amazing she'd ever felt
and probably the most amazing she'd ever feel,
but now he makes her heart drop
as though it's stopped beating altogether
and she just doesn't understand
what it's supposed to mean;
she doesn't know
what these feelings mean anymore
but she knows
it's tearing her soul apart
and she can't stop it from doing so
