Raman is shocked to hear Subbu's name from Ishita. Amma and Appa come to her.

Amma: Ishu, yeh kya bol rahi ro? Tum theek ho na?

I: Haan Amma, main ab theek ho. (in a lower voice, eyeing Raman) Par ye koun hai?

Everybody is shocked. Raman asks the doctor what happening. Ishita again asks about Raman when the doctor covers up saying he is the one who brought you to the hospital. He saved your life.

I: Ohhh... Par Subbu?

Appa: Subbu ka kya Ishu?

I: Woh kahan hain? Use pata hai na ki main hospital main hoon? To woh aaya kyun nahi?

Amma: Woh kyun ayega?

I: Amma, aap bhi na. He is my boyfriend; engagement honewali hain hamari. Woh kaise nahi aayega?

Doc: Ishita ji, woh aaye hain. Medicines lane gaye hain. Aap rest kar lijiye. We will send him in when he comes back. Ab aap sab bhi bahr jaiye. Let her rest.

Dumbfounded by what they heard, all of them come out.

R: (shouts) Doctor, yeh Ishita bol kya rahi hai? Woh apni 3 saal pehle ki duniya mein kyun chali gayi hai? Aur jab main usse sach bata raha tha tab aapne mujhe roka kyun?

D: Calm down, Mr. Raman. Ishita ji ko abhi abhi hosh aaya hain. Shayad serious head injury ki wajah se she is traumatised. Hum kuchh tests karte hain, then only we will be able to figure something out about her health.

R: Toh jaldi kijiye doctor. Please!

Everybody is pacing around eagerly waiting for the reports. After some time, the nurse tells Raman that he is called in the doctor's cabin.

R: Hello doctor. I am sorry ki maine aap pe chillaya.

D: It's okay Raman. I can understand.

R: What do the reports say?
D: Not really good. Ishita is diagnosed with amnesia.

R: Amnesia... What's that?

D: Kind of a case of memory loss.

Raman is shattered. He asks the details and the doctor says that she has gone in her past life where she was in love with Subbu. She doesn't remember his betrayal and their marriage. And if she is told the truth now so abruptly, that may worsen her condition. Raman has tears flowing through his eyes when he explains the whole thing to his family. Although everyone is jolted and trying to console each other, nobody is consoling Raman.

Mr. Bhalla: (to Appa) Iyyer sahab, shaant hojaiye. Rab sab kuchh theek kar dega.

Appa: Par Bhallaji, yeh kya ho gaya? Kuchh physical disability hoti toh phir bhi ham swar jate, par yeh memory loss...  Apni zindagi ke sabse khoobsurat pal hi bhool chuki hain woh...(crying)

Mr. Bhalla: Uska dard ham sab ko hain. Par Iyyer sahab, main haath jod kar apse maafi maangna chahta hoon.

Appa: Yeh aap kya kar rahe hain?

B: Haan main yehi kar sakta hoon filhal toh. Us waqt, main hi apne bete ka rishta laya tha apki beti ke liye. Tab mujhe laga ki yehi faisla un dono ke liye sahi hoga. Raman ke dil main Ishita liye koi feelings nahi thi yeh jaanne ke bavjood maine yeh rishta tay kiya. Jab Raman ko Ishita se pyar hua, mai samjha ki woh apne ateet ko bhula chuka hai, magar ab mujhe samajh aaya ki aisa nahi hain. Mere bete ne jo kiya usse main bohot sharminda hoon. Main nahi jaanta tha ki abbhi uske dil mein woh Shagun hain. Main aapka aur apki beti ka gunhegar hoon Iyyer sahab. Ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dijiye.

All of them were crying hearing this.

Appa: Nahi Bhalla ji, aap aisa mat kahiye.

Amma: Bhalla ji, is rishte ki wajah se, Ishu ek maa bani, ek patni bani. Aur aaj jo hua uske saath woh bohot galat hain, par usme aapki koi galati nahi hai.

Appa: Aap sab ne toh use humse jyaada pyaar diya. Woh aapki bhi toh beti hain.

Mrs. Bhalla: Bilkul sahi kaha aapne. Aur ab toh hame yeh sochna hain ki Ishita ko theek kaise karna hain.

Spotting no one near Raman, Manoj and Shagun went to console Raman while the whole family was giving them deadly accusing looks.

Nurse: (comes out of Ishita's room) Mrs. Ishita Raman ji ko bula rahi hain.

Everybody was overjoyed. They were sure that Ishita remembered her past with Raman. Raman thanked God for Ishita's speedy recovery from amnesia. He headed towards her room with a bright smile. He also made up his mind to tell Ishita the truth about surrogacy .
