REMINISCING OLD TIMES

Ishita regained her consciousness after some time and asked for Raman. She was deeply worried when she got to know that Raman was still in police custody. She ran out of her house directly into the Bhalla house calling Shagun.

I: Shagun, Shagun, jaldi chalo mere saath. Raman ko choodana hain.

S: I know Ishita but we don't have any proof. Humein pehle yeh pata karna hoga ki yeh sajeesh hain kiski.

I: Definitely uss Ashok Khanna ki. Usse jyaada ghatiya aur koun ho sakta hain.

S: Yeah right! Par... par tumhe kaise pata Ashok and Raman ki enmity ke baare mein?

I: Woh... woh... pata nahi shayad aise hi bol diya maine. Aur waise uss din tum thi na Raman ke saath Ashok ke cold storage mein?

S: (shocked) Yeh tumhe kisne kaha?

I: Mujhe pata hain... I mean uss inspector ne hi toh bola aisa.

S: Ohh. Haan thi toh.

I: Uska koi proof hain. So that you can stand as a witness that Raman is innocent.

Shagun remembered about the CD Ashok had sent in the Bhalla house during Rinki's murder case. She decided to search for it in Raman's room.

S: Haan, haan ek CD hain. Main woh Raman ke kamre mein dhoondti hoon.

I: Theek hain. Tum use lekar police station aao jaldi. Main aage jaati hoon. I need to know Raman kis haal mein hain.

Saying so she left.

-In the police station

R: (to inspector) Main aapko bata raha hoon Sir ki maine aisa kuchh nahi kiya hain.

Ins: Par saare saboot aap hi taraf ishara karte hain Mr. Raman. Kya aap ke paas koi saboot hain aap ka innocence prove karne ke liye?

A voice: Haan hain.

Raman looked at the source and was shocked to see Ishita standing there.

R: Ishita tum yahan? Tum theek toh ho? Tumhe koi takleef nahi ho rahi hain na?

I: Nahi Raman. Iss Ashok Khanna ke alawa toh filhal koi takleef nahi hain. (to Ashok) Tum ho meri sabse badi pareshaani. Tumhari problem kya hain? Kab sudhroge tum. Hamesha se Raman ke khilaaf chalein chaalte aaye ho aur hamesha haare ho. Aaj bhi haaroge Ashok kyunki mere Raman innocent hain... I mean Mr. Raman Bhalla is innocent aur iss baat ka proof lekar Shagun aa rahi hain.

Just then Shagun entered with Ashok's watchman who bore witness to Raman's innocence. She smartly avoided the CD as that could have caused a bigger problem for Raman-Ishita's budiing relationship. Raman was freed by the police.

-In the building compund

R: Ishita, thank you so much, aaj tumne jo kuchh bhi kiya...

I: No need to thank me Raman. Aaj sab kuchh aapki wife Shagun ne kiya hain.

R: Ex-wife.

I: Sorry, bhul gayi.

R: Achha aaj shaam ko dinner pe chale.

I: Nahi, actually abhi Amma ka call aaya tha. Toshi aunty ne aapki rihai ki khushi mein aapke ghar pe dinner party arrange ki hain.

R: (under her breath) Yaar yeh Mummy bhi na... meri Madrasan ke saath ka saara romantic dinner ka plan spoil kiya.

I: Kuchh bola kya aapne?

R: (with a fake smile) Nahi, bilkul nahi. Main toh bohot khush hoon.

I: Okay, see you then.

With this, Raman and Ishita went to their respective houses.

-During the dinner party

Everyone was enjoying while Raman was trying his best to spend maximum time with Ishita. He was tailing behind her. He was helping her with the food, serving everyone. Just then, Neelu spilled some fruit juice on Ishita's saree. Raman guided her to the washroom and helped her clean it. As they were moving out, Ishita's saree got stuck somewhere and her pleats came off. She was highly embarrassed but Raman calmed her down. He took that opportunity to help her with those pleats. Though Ishita resisted initially, unknowingly, she was enjoying it. Raman sat before her on his knees and began his task. Ishita was having goosebumps with a small blush adorning her cheeks.

R: Yeh theek hain na?

I: (in a trance) Yaa, yaa. Aap uthiye ab.

R: Only you have the power to bring THE RAMAN KUMAR BHALLA on his knees.

I: Kya kaha?!

R: Nothing. Waise tum aaj behad pretty lag rahi ho.

I: Shukar hain guldasta nahi lag rahi.

R: (surprised) Kya kaha? Guldasta?

I: Haan... woh... pata nahi kyun. (clutches her head) Subah se aisa kuchh ho raha hain.

R: It's okay Ishita. But tumhe thoda toh kuchh yaad aa raha hain. Kyunki aisa maine ek baar bola hain tumse.

I: Ohh! Really! Shayad ab main jaldi theek ho jaungi.

R: Bohot jald!

Raman took out a rose flower from a nearby vase and gave it to her. She was all smiles. Soon, they were called out.

Vandu: Ishu, Raman, jaldi bahar aao. Ishu, tumse koi milne aaya hain.
