It is like watching your life
From a TV screen.
You play your part
And your decisions feel like you know--
Like you have control.
But you are stuck
In the screen;
Spouting out lines to provide your audience
Comfort, joy, and sadness.
And, like them,
You don't know what your future holds.Will your character get a love story?
Will you ever become a parent?
Will you be happy?
Or are you not in a fairytale?You can never know
Because your role is only
To help others write their stories.
You don't get to have your own.
