Y/n's pov.  

" She has appendicitis "

" What? " I asked the man.

" Apparently when we took x-ray, it showed that it's an appendicitis, we need to give her surgery " he said.

" How many days does she have left? " I asked.

" It doesn't matter, it's already large and it can rupture any moment, that could be bad " he said, I sighed.

" When will she be awake? " I asked.

" In a few minutes " he said.

" And when will the surgery be? " I asked.

He looks at his watch.

" As soon as possible, we have to get it out before it ruptured " he said and walk away.

I exhale in disbelief.

I turn around to the door to see Gemma asleep on the bed, an IV attached to her hand. I enter and she wakes up, she blinks her eyes a few times as I shut the door and look at me.

" What happened? " She asked.

" Try not move much " I said as and sit down on the bedside.

She grunted.

" It's appendicitis " I said, she looks up at me as her eyes starts to tear up.

" I know, you'll be having a surgery in a few minutes " I said.

She bites her bottom lip as tears stream down.

" I don't want to " she said.

" I know it's your first time having a surgery but if you don't, you'll die " I said.

" It hurts more if you leave it "

" Have you been into a surgery? " Her voice cracked.

" No "

She wipe her eyes and I hear the door open, I turn and see Stefan.

" Stefan " I stood up.

" Can I talk to you? " He asked, I nodded and stood up.

" I'll be right back " I turn to Gemma and she nodded

I walk out and shut the door behind me.

" Did you find Damon? " I asked.

" Yes "

" Where is he? "

" He's actually safe "

" What? " I asked.

" He's in Georgia " he said.

" What the fuck? " I asked.

" He's been dodging us because Elena broke up with him " he said.

" This is unnecessary to hear " I turn around but he grabs my arm.

" What? " I whine.

" We need you tonight "

" I can't, I have to take care of Gemma, she has appendicitis " I said.

" Appendicitis? " He asked.

" She puked this afternoon and fainted, she's in chronic pain right now, her surgery is in a few minutes, I need to be there with her " I said.

" Jessica's joining " he said.

" Excuse me? " I asked.

" Got fired on her job and now she's joining our company " he said.
