Y/n's pov.  

I open the door to the cabin and enter.

" Ezekiel is staying here " I said as Katelyn and Laurence enters.

I shut the door and lock it. The reason Ezekiel is staying here is because he still wanted to search for Cole, so he needed my investigation progress.

" Ezekiel! " I shout.

" He must be out " Katelyn said as she hang her jacket on the stand.

" Wow " Laurence look at the wall.

" Yeah " I said and walk to the fridge.

" This is what you call hard work " Laurence said as I open the fridge door.

" You guys want anything? " I asked.

" What do you have? " Katelyn asked.

" Beer, beer, and more beer, and some soda " I said.

" Lemonade? " She asked.

" Sure, Laurence? " I asked.

" I'm good " he said, I shrug and take the lemonade and grape soda.

I shut the fridge as I turn and toss the bottle to Katelyn, she caught it and I lean against the counter as I open it.

I take a sip.

" So everything ended with Joanna huh? " Laurence asked.

" Yeah, basically my last straw " I said.

" I'll be reading this for a while " he picks up a book on the table.

" Be my guest " I said and turn to wash my hands when I see some dishes that aren't wash.

I hover my hand over the dirty pan, it's still warm.

" This is recent, he couldn't have left " I muttered.

" What was that? " Katelyn asked.

" The dishes are recent " I said.

" Weird " she said.

Thud

We all look at each other.

" Upstairs " Katelyn said.

I leave the kitchen and head to the stairs. I head upstairs and arrive at the top looking down the corridor. I hear another thud on the right and I see the door is cracked open.

I signal Katelyn and Laurence to stop behind me and I place my hand on the doorknob. I push the door open slowly and look down on the floor to see Ezekiel sitting down on the floor against the bed knocked out.

" Ezekiel " I rush to him and lift up his head to see he's out of it.

The door then slam shut.

" Y/n! " Katelyn bangs on the door.

I flinched as I turn around and stood up as to see a guy with light brown hair and E/c eyes. I exhale in disbelief, he looks at me as I just stare at him.

" Hi Y/n " he smiles weakly.

I shake my head.

" This isn't real " I said.

He approaches and I take a step back but tripped on Ezekiel's leg. I fall backwards but he caught me. He pulls me up and place his hand on my arm.

" It's me " he said as I look up at him.
