Lunch break(TW⚠️ implication of abuse)

30 minutes after Amy joined you downstairs Detective Diaz comes down stairs.
"For him to confess to all murders"
"Good job Detective Diaz"
"Just call me Rosa y/n. Not a big fan of formalities"
"Oh okay, are we ready for lunch?"
"Yeah I'm ready"
"What about you Ames?"
"I'm ready y/n"
You guys decided to all drive together to go to a local pizza place not far from the precinct
When you guys got there you ordered a pizza for the group
"So y/n how long have you been a cop?"
Amy leans in and whispers," small talk? That's not really your thing"
"Shut up" Rosa said back
"Oh uh I've been an officer for about two years now" you say pretending you didn't hear that
"Isn't that enough to be come a detective if you wanted?" Asked Rosa
"Yeah, I kept applying at my last job but my boss kept denying me saying I wasn't qualified."
"What does that mean?" Amy a questioned
" I thought it meant he didn't think I was ready until I realized he promoted this guy with less qualifications and a worse work history then me"
"Damn, that's messed up" Rosa said
"Yeah, like he could not of been more obvious. Why didn't you report that?" Amy asked
"And lose my job? No way, besides I transferred to the 99 in hopes of a more equal playing field" you said
Before anything else happens the waiter came a dropped the pizza off at the table.
After eating a few slices Amy looked at you and realized you're still wearing your jacket
" it's like a million degrees in here y/n take your jacket off"
"I'm good, I like it on"
"You're sweating take it off"
"You promise not to judge?"
"What are you talking about? Of course I won't"
You take of your jacket and Amy and Rosa's are immediately drawn to your arm. They're covered in dark bruise and one even looks like a hand wrapped around your arm.
"Woah, who did that to you," asked Rosa"
"Was it Brad? Did he hurt you? I'm gonna kill him! Did he hurt you again? Is it worse than last time?" Amy asked spewing a new question every half a second
"No, Ames I'm fine. It the same thing that happened last time I was trying to reach something high up on a chair and I fell" you say trying to his the truth
"Y/n if he's hurting you, tell Amy and I. We can get you help"
"Guys I appreciate the concern but really I'm fine" you reassure
They question a little more but stop when they realize you're gonna stick to your story
After you all finish and pay
You guys head back to the office to get work done.
"Hey y/n, I'm going to go give these papers to Rosa to sign off of"
When Amy gets to Rosa's desk she sits down and clears her throat
"What"
"Rosa we need to launch an investigation on y/n's boyfriend"
"We can't do anything unless she reports him"
"Yeah I know but I really don't trust him, he has a drinking problem and anger issues"
" it's not a good combo but it's not a crime"
"Look Rosa I know you've taken a liking to her , and brad has hurt her before she just won't admit it so just help me help her"
Rosa glared at her" Amy for the last time, I'm not interested in her like that and I have a girlfriend. Besides we have no proof"
"Fine but if one more bad thing happens to her I'm hauling his ass in here for questioning" Amy says before leaving
Rosa just nods her head knowing she can't really argue with her, she knows a fall couldn't do bruises like that.
Truth be told Rosa does wish she could arrest him, but there's no evidence.

Work goes by like normal then it's time head home, the entire day Rosa can't get the bruises out of her head along with that Amy said to her. She wish she could help y/n but there's nothing for her to do.
