Toby's POV
I take Spencer home and she didn't speak the whole way, silently crying. I know what it feels like to lose a mom but all the things that have happened to her in just 2 months I could never imagine. We walk and Spencer sorta wobbles because she's still on crutches and she sits down on the wooden rocking chair that I gave her while she was still wrapped in the blanket. I walk over to her and ask her if she needs anything. She says nothing. It like I say something but she doesn't hear me. She knows I'm looking into her eyes but she doesn't see me. She knows I'm holding her hand but she doesn't feel me. After all that happened I was surprised by how ok she was but I guess now it all hit her. She was kidnapped. She was buried alive. Her best friend which we still can't find tried to kill her. And her mom is dead. I make her a grilled cheese sandwich and lay it infront of her if she decides to eat it . I lay down on the couch and she wobbles over to me on one foot and lays down next to me our legs intertwined and her arm wrapped around me.
"I love you." I say softly knowing no other words that could help her with this hell she's enduring.
I hear Spencer mumble softly "he carved something into my skin."
"What?" I say so confused.
She pulls down her shirt a little and I see on the back of her shoulder its says 'bitches get stitches'.
"Oh my god Spencer you don't have to show me this and tell me this now." I don't want to hear this, not now, not after what just happened. Then she pulls down her shirt in the front.
"This is how I didn't die. A.D did surgery on me while I was conscious and did not numb me and removed the fragments of the bullets."
"YOU WHERE CONSCIOUS and why would he do that?" I say infuriated.
"Yeah it hurt like hell but he did it so he could torture me more."
I pull her into a hug and we fall asleep in each other's arms.
