Y/N's P.O.V.

Loki was avoiding me, not that I was complaining. I actually hadn't seen him in a couple of days and I had used the peace and quiet to learn more about Midgard.
We had been in the strange realm for a little over a week now and yesterday, Nat had taken me out for some 'girl time' where I got to walk around the fascinating city whilst Nat went shopping.
I was just beginning to understand how the Midgardian eduction systems work, it was extremely confusing considering the different countries had different systems, when Thor came and sat next to me.

"Lady Y/N, I need your help." He announced and I sighed, closing the book I was reading.
"Loki hasn't left his room in 2 days-"

"That's not my issue, Thor." I mumbled. Admittedly, during my time on Midgard, I had decided that Thor wasn't nearly as bad as I thought and I couldn't help but feel a little guilty for the way I had treated him.
"He's your brother-"

"But you care for him. Or, you used to." Thor looked at me.
"And I know that deep down, deep deep down, he still cares for you. I'm just asking you to take him something to eat and drink and to see that he's okay. Please?"

"You owe me for this." I glared at him slightly and he jumped up like an excited puppy.

"I made him a sandwich and I got him a box of poptarts, because I like poptarts and I think he'll like them too. And also tea. He likes tea." He picked up the tray off of the counter, handing it to me and I reluctantly took it from him, before teleporting outside of Loki's door. I sighed, before knocking.

"I'm not interested, Thor. Leave." Loki's voice was slightly muffled and I rolled my eyes, before trying the door, but it was locked. I teleported in the room, finding Loki sat in his bed, with a book in his hand. He looked up at me in shock and I sighed.

"Cute illusion, but I'm not Thor. Drop it." He hesitated, before sighing and the illusion faded and Loki was no longer sat on the bed, but by the open bathroom door and he was blue.

"Now you see me." He muttered and I placed the tray down on the table.
"You must hate me. Really hate me. I'm surprised you can even be in the same room as me."

"Are you done with your pity party, yet?" I asked dryly and he glared at me.
"You're a monster, congratulations, so am I. Get over it. Thor is worried about you." I turned to leave, unlocking the door.

"Was it worth it? Stabbing me? I know it hurt you more than it hurt me." He wasn't mocking me, or trying to trick me in any way, it was a genuine question.
"You've threatened to kill me on many occasions, but I think you're forgetting that if you kill me, it's not just my life you're ending. Stabbing me might have been worth it, but is dying?"

"No, it's not. But if I have to kill you, I will." I turned to look at him and I saw the raw emotion in his red eyes, the fear and the pain. For a moment, I felt something other than hatred towards him. I wanted to help him.

"Y/N, I'm-" The building shook violently and I put my hand against the wall for support. Loki was on his feet in a second as we both left the room in search of what happened. Loki changed into his Asgardian form as we walked and JARVIS announced there had been an explosion in one of the lower levels of the building. JARVIS advised us to evacuate and without even thinking, I grabbed Loki's wrist and got us both out of there.

"What's going on?" I asked as we appeared next to Tony and Bruce.

"Someone planted a bomb and the building foundations were damaged. The whole thing is going to come down." Tony muttered, looking somewhere between horrified and scared.

"I am going to regret this." I mumbled and they both looked at me.
"What floor?"

"4th floor. Everyone else is in there helping with evacuation." Bruce explained.
"What are you going to do?"

"I don't know yet." I admitted, before teleporting myself up there, finding Bucky holding up a piece of the ceiling as Clint moved people towards the door.
"How much longer can you hold that?"

"A couple of minutes, tops." Bucky mumbled, clearly struggling. I nodded my head, moving over to the damaged foundations. It was a wonder that the building was still standing. I used my magic to try and rebuild the foundations, but it was useless. Instead, I tried making new, temporary, ones. It was working, barely.

"Shouldn't have stayed up all night." I muttered to myself as I felt my energy quickly draining.

"Everyone's out!" Clint shouted through the smoke and I could hear sirens.

"Bucky, go with Clint. Both of you get out. I can hold it." I lied through gritted teeth, knowing that there was no point in all three of us dying.
The ceiling crumbed slightly as Bucky let go of it.

"How are you getting out?" Bucky asked me.

"I can teleport, remember? Go." He looked unsure, before leaving and entire body trembled from both exhaustion and struggling to keep my hold on everything. My knees hit the ground, but I didn't give up.

"I've got you." A familiar voice muttered as firefighters came into the room with equipment to stabilise the building.
"You can let go, Princess. I've got you."
