In one fraction of a second, four children felt a terrible, unimaginable pain. When Willis flew into Sparrow, She couldn't move her arms. A pain that Sparrow had never felt before ran up her fingers to her brain, giving her a sense of hopelessness and defeat, but Sparrow wouldn't give up just because her arms were bleeding on the inside. Willis was gone. Her beam closed and Sparrow fell to the floor, but her arms wouldn't come out and catch her, even though her brain told them to. She fell on her side, squishing her hand under her thigh. Sparrow cried out in pain and watched as her friends experienced the same pain she was in.

Rain touched her now glazed-over eyes, and Sparrow realized that just as Willis had taken her arms, They must have taken Rain's eyes. Mouse was pulling his ears, and Gem Girl.....Wasn't moving at all. " Gem G-!" Sparrow cried, but halfway through her call her mouth filled with blood and her words turned into fits of coughing. Sparrow tried to army-crawl over to Gem Girl, but the exertion of doing so made her head swim. Sparrow fell to the ground, the exertion of speaking and trying to move making her blackout.
