"You don't need another human being to make your life complete, but let's be honest. Having your wounds kissed by someone who doesn't see them as disasters but cracks to put their love into is the most calming thing in the world."
Emery Allen

"Who's your favorite old Hollywood actress?"

Niall thinks on it for a moment. "Marilyn. You?"

"Bette Davis."

"Oh," Niall takes a bite of his pizza slice. "She's great. I change my answer to her."

"Good choice." Harry says, dipping his own pizza into the ranch dressing he had Niall order on the side for him. They decided to use the pay phone beside the restrooms to order pizza and have it delivered to the waterfall. "Your turn to ask a question."

"Alright, let me think about this." Niall takes another bite of pizza. "Okay, I've got one. If you were pissed drunk and wanted to sing karaoke. What song would you ruin?"

"Ask me when I'm pissed drunk." He laughs. "I can't answer that honestly when I'm sober."

"I think you'd go for a rendition of Single Ladies."

"To be honest." Harry laughs again, setting his pizza slice down on the box. "Okay, my turn?"

"Yep."

"Your stranded on a deserted island all by yourself, right? And you can only have three things with you. What do you have?"

"This is a hard one." Niall looks up at the sky in thought. "I would have a knife, because that's useful. And I would have a solar powered iPod. I-"

"Do they make those?"

"Who knows." Niall shrugs. "And I would have a friend with me."

"Which friend?" Harry asks.

"The least annoying one I can find."

Harry laughs at that, nodding in understanding. "That's understandable. Okay, your turn."

"What's been your favorite part of Ireland so far?"

"You." Harry answers quickly and honestly. He figures he'll never see Niall again after today, so he might as well be truthful for their last hours together.

"Stop." Niall warns.

"I'm just being honest."

"You have a husband, Harry."

"The waterfall doesn't know that."

"I know, though."

"We can pretend I don't." Harry says, watching Niall.

"No, we can't and we won't. I'm not going to let you cheat on your husband, Harry. And if you think I'm that kind of guy, then you're sadly mistaken."

"But he isn't even going to say yes to my proposal, remember? Isn't that what you said?"

"Harry, I-"

"No, you don't get to talk. Not if you're gonna sit here and keep changing your mind."

"I'm not changing my fucking mind." Niall snaps. "I'm trying to keep you from regretting me for the rest of your life."

"Who says I would regret you?" Harry stands up and walks away. He hears Niall scramble up onto his feet, but he doesn't look back. He walks straight, unsure of where he's going, but fine with that.

"Hey, Harry. Stop it." Niall calls to him, and Harry spins around.

"Do you realize that I have been with Louis since I was eighteen? Eighteen. I am twenty seven, and I have only ever been with one man."

"At least you're consistent."

"Shut up. I'm not finished." Harry warns. "I have only been with him. I don't know anything else. I thought I was happy, and maybe I was. But now I'm here, and I'm with you, and it's... it's exciting."

"Because it's wrong!"

"You know what's wrong? The fact that I know wanting to kiss you is bad, and that I know I'm trying to cheat on Louis- but I don't fucking care."

"Are you trying to ruin it?" Niall asks. "Is that what this is? Am I a midlife crisis to you? Is that what the kids are? Your attempt to make Louis leave you?"

"You don't know anything."

"You're happy, okay?" Niall continues, talking with his hands. "With Louis. You're really fucking happy, and anybody with eyes can look and see that. Quit trying to just give it up. I am not going to sit here and be used by a man who doesn't have the balls to suck it up and deal with whatever is going on in his life. I'm just not."
