-Are monsters born or created?-

The sound of shuffling down by her feet immediately had her eyes snapping open, automatically on high alert for any sort of movement. She hardly slept last night, too on edge. This time when her eyes opened, she was greeted by a pair of purple eyes staring back at her.

He looked at her a moment longer, studying her.
His chest drew up sharply, his chiseled jaw opening widely with a yawn, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. Though his terrifying teeth screamed "danger," the way he was curled up by her feet said otherwise.

She watched him as he rolled onto his back with a grunt and ran a hand though the top of his white hair. She still hadn't figured out why it was white quite yet. She was curious if all of his kind were like that- or if there were even others like him.

Though he was struggling to wake up, he was snapped out of his sleepy daze when he heard her stomach growl. He blinked at her stomach accusingly and stood to his sturdy legs.

He turned to face her and gestured to his stomach, then his mouth, pretended to bite down on something, and then pointed her her.

Almost immediately she was in hysterics.

Oh. Wrong way to gesture that. She thought he wanted to eat her... Heh.

He shook his head and frantically waved his arms around as if to cancel what he just suggested. He pointed to her stomach and then her own mouth, hoping she'd get the picture. Though she was still extremely weary, she seemed to understand what he meant.

He crossed the room and opened a drawer to a worn down box. Maybe a makeshift dresser? He rarely wore more than the piece of cloth that covered his modesty, but he still had a few articles of clothing.

She needed to hide her scent if he was going to leave her here. Taking her with him was too dangerous. Though the night was dangerous and full of unexpected predators, he was more scared if his own people found her in the daylight. They weren't too overly keen on humans being brought here.

He scowled at the thought and brought the shirt up to his nose to smell it. It still smelt strongly of him, enough to hide her scent from others if they kept their distance.

It was difficult to explain to her why she had to change her shirt. At first, he thinks he accidentally offended her by making her think she stunk. That definitely wasn't the case, he thought she smelt heavenly. Not that she knew that...

With some more convincing and many uses of the word "safe" many times, he managed to get her to change her shirt. Of course, he was a gentleman and turned away from her. Her pants were already ripped up and hardly there as it was, and his shirt was long enough to go down to her knees, so he didn't worry about changing her pants.

She figured he must have done some reading when she was getting dressed because he knew the word, "stay."

He blinked when she scoffed at him.

Since she appeared to be in a mood, he didn't stray far to get food. If she ran, she'd easily be caught by either him or one of his people. The later terrified him. Though he wanted her to get better, he prayed her leg would prevent her from escaping.

He returned with a fluffy creature and some objects that looked like fruits in his arms. He placed the multicolored fruits down in front of Poise, thankful she didn't leave, and held up the fluffy, three eyed creature by it's long floppy ears. It almost looked like a cat... if cats were yellow with three eyes and long ears.... The creature seemed to know something she didn't as it started to squeal and thrash in his hand. Before she could say anything, he ripped it's head clean off it's shoulders.
