When is a monster not a monster?
Oh, when you love it.

Over the past few weeks, Posie's learned that Kyros subconsciously liked physical contact when he slept. It didn't have to be much, but there was always some part of him touching her. Whether he's smooshing her to his body, intertwining their legs, or just holding her hand.

When he'd wake up, he'd apologize profusely.

He's also the biggest. blanket. hog. He would curl the whole thing around him so she's left with practically nothing, which meant she had to inch closer to him for warmth.... which was basically his plan all along.

He's actually a bed hog in general. He'd forget sometimes how big he is and how small their bed is. But again, it was a subconscious attempt to be closer to her. This man would do anything to hold her close while he slept.

Eventually, she didn't mind it anymore. When he'd apologize for holding her in his subconscious state, she'd tell him to shut up and cuddle him once again.

He scooted over closer to her side of the bed, not fully awake yet, in a sleepy daze to find her. When he didn't feel her, he scooted closer, his grabby hands reaching out to feel where she was. When he didn't feel her again, he frowned and opened his eyes.

She was gone.

His heart sunk and he ripped the blankets off of him to search for her.

He didn't have to go far, once he felt the gentle breeze coming from the open window, that he realized she was out on the roof. He sighed in relief and dragged one of the heavier blankets with him to the window.

He smiled when he caught sight of her sitting there with her knees tucked up to her chest, in his shirt that was several sizes too big for her, as her eyes skimmed across the moons, planets, and countless stars in the clear sky.

"Posie?"

She jumped at the sound of his sleepy voice and whipped around to glare at him. "Geez, you scared me half to death!"

He laughed and somehow managed to squeeze his large body out of the window. "Sorry." He laid down next to her and patted the space next to him.

She affectionately rolled her eyes but did as gestured, and couldn't help but grin as he pulled the comforter over the two of them.

It was silent for a moment before he whispered, "beautiful."

"Yeah, they sure are." She sighed, her head tilting to find him staring at her, not the sky, making her blush.
Completely content in that moment, she gazed back up at the sky. "Do you ever wonder where you came from?"

He pursed his lips. "I do."

"Does it bother you? That you don't know for sure?" She asked and turned on her side. Her eyes landed on the scales that littered the side of his body, to his shoulder, and neck.

They were always beautiful to look at and she found herself admiring them often. Whether it was the sunlight or moonlight, it always made the scales glisten like diamonds. She couldn't help but to trace random patterns on the scales on his collarbone, chest, and side.

He didn't- couldn't respond right away, the feeling of her soft finger tips on his skin made his brain go fuzzy and butterflies fill his stomach. "Sometimes." He admitted, his breath hitting the top of her head when he lolled his head over to rest on hers, "But I'm happy here now."

"Now?" She questioned. "You weren't at one point?"

His teeth caught his lower lip as he thought, wondering if he should say what he was thinking out loud. His chest drew up sharply with a breath and he slowly confessed, "I always liked here, but.... Something was missing for long time."
